Do we really know all the sabla's buttons and options? With the help of the moderators and the members, let's see if after all this time spent in this forum we are in fact familiar with everything.

Feel free to ask questions and reply if you know the answers.

My questions for today:

1) Give me 3 ways of finding out that a member is currently online.

2) Which option button within a thread tells us if a member is still online or already offline?

Like you, I am no expert and will probably make some mistakes, so I count on you to help here...;)

1. On the main page www.englishsabla.com/forum/index.php you will find the names of memebers online at the bottom. You can click on the drop menu and select "who's online" to see which memebers are on line and what are they currently doing online "spying basically", it is however hard to know if the person is invisible!, you can know that a person is online if you just saw a new Thread/post of theirs!

2.The On/Off Button next to the person's profile! But then again, it wont show if they are in the invisible mood :duh:

Good Somy and you gave 2 correct answers for no.1. There is still another way to know if someone is online while visiting a particular sabla. Where is the clue?

Still waiting for a member to find the answer of my question no.2 :)

(Users Browsing this Forum: X-press) above all the topics in a forum.

They will be shown to be online in your buddy list, if you have added them also.

Hmm.. Probably.. Using the "Forum Jump" To see "Who's online?"
Unless ofcourse they are invisible.. YOu wont get to see them nor what they are browsing..

A. On the main page www.englishsabla.com/forum/index.php you will find the names of memebers online at the bottom.

B. You can click on the drop menu and select "who's online" to see which memebers are on line and what are they currently doing online "spying basically", it is however hard to know if the person is invisible!

C. you can know that a person is online if you just saw a new Thread/post of theirs!

You are right Somy, but the 3rd option I had in mind was more jack's answer: "Users Browsing this Forum"

4th option: Members will be shown to be online in your buddy list, if you have added them.

Somy, you are also correct for the answe given for Q.2 :)

Somy, as you were the first to get the answers right, why don't you ask question no.3 now? Something general for a start...:)

Q: Give me two ways that would direct me to the main page using buttons?

P.S: Meaning the Forum where you can see all sabal's not the main front page!

Good and easy questions Somy. As the mods are not entitled to answer, I let the members guess. The one who got it right will ask the next questions and so one...:)

It seems no one is next, so let's try a new option and see if the new members do know it.

How can a member be 100% sure that he or she participated at least once in a particular thread and this without opening it?

You got it right Icy and know that this thread might not be very useful for the old members, but I hope it will be for the new ones ;)

Why don't you ask the new questions IceTea?...a difficult one!
