Endure Whisper 24-09-03, 01:22 AM In some verses of the Quran, Allah is asking us to "isjid" for Adam.
How is that possible? I mean, the sujood is only for Allah. I'm sure the sujood here has another meaning, any ideas?
BliNd_MelOn 24-09-03, 01:38 AM Areejo.. Could you please specify which Quran verses do you mean? Tell us what the sourah is and its number..
Could it be possible that you meant the verse where Allah sub7anahu wa Ta3ala asks the Angles and Satan to bow (sujood) to Adam? In which Satan refuses.. ?
Is this it? It couldnt have been addressed to us!
Endure Whisper 24-09-03, 01:42 AM Well.. I hear it alot.
"Ya ayuha al lathina amanu isjidoo li adam"
It's in Surat Al Baqara... if you have an explanation for that, I'd be happy ... I'll check out the number of verse and get back to you later.

Yes, and sorry about that. Okay, still my question going on but I'll change it to, why did he ask the angels and Sata to bow for Adam? I mean, the bowing is just for Allah. Or, is that a different bowing?
BliNd_MelOn 24-09-03, 04:46 AM Souret Al Baqara. Verse Number (34)
Where Allah asks the Angles and Satan to bow to Adam.. Not specifying "Ya ayuha Altheen Amanu..".. and as all the Angels obeyed God, Satan refused to do so.
Why Allah had asked them to do so.. I dont really know..
Maybe.. Allah wasnt actualy asking to do the "sujood" for Adam as an act of worshipping him.. It was merely a "Ta7iyeh bil Sujood" for the first creature of man kind God had created from Mud.
Makes sense? I dont know..
In which Satan refused to bow to Adam saying that why should he, when he is much more powerful and better than him..
Another thought.. Maybe it was all a test (Ibtila'a) to see if The Angels and Satan would obbey God or question him.. ??

Because it's an order from Allah to the angels (and Ibliees was one of them) to bow for his new creation (Adam).

And indeed We have honoured the Children of Adam, and We have carried them on land and sea, and have provided them with At-Taiyibât (lawful good things), and have preferred them above many of those whom We have created with a marked preference.
And dont forget that when Allah first said that he is going to creat adam ...... well here is the story from the Quran to understand what happened exactly and why Allah asked the Angles to bow for adam;

And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Verily, I am going to place (mankind) generations after generations on earth." They said: "Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood, - while we glorify You with praises and thanks (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners) and sanctify You." He (Allâh) said: "I know that which you do not know."
And He taught Adam all the names (of everything) [], then He showed them to the angels and said, "Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful."
They (angels) said: "Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us. Verily, it is You, the All-Knower, the All-Wise."
He said: "O Adam! Inform them of their names," and when he had informed them of their names, He said: "Did I not tell you that I know the Ghaib (unseen) in the heavens and the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you have been concealing?"
And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves before Adam.". And they prostrated except Iblîs (Satan), he refused and was proud and was one of the disbelievers (disobedient to Allâh).
