View Full Version : Sins that Lead Us Away from Islam
Wardat_il'7leej 23-09-03, 09:00 PM Shirk (Associating Partners with Allah)
Shirk (polytheism) is the grievous sin that can not be forgiven until man turns to Allah in repentance sincerely and ask His pardon. Both the Qur’an and the Sunnah stress the oneness of Allah the Almighty. It is our obligation to know the Truth that Allah is One, Who Alone deserves true worship, so that we can refrain ourselves from associating partners with Him.
“Serve Allah and join not any partners with Him: and do good to parents, kinsfolk orphans, those in need, neighbors who are near, neighbors who are strangers, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (you meet) and what your right hands possess: for Allah loves not the arrogant the vainglorious.” (4:36)
Loving others and the world above Allah and His Messenger (pbuh):
"Whosoever desires the life of the world and its glitter, to them We shall pay in full their deeds therein, and they will have no diminution therein. They are those for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but Fire and vain are their deeds they did therein. And of no effect is that which they used to do.” (11:15-16)
Denying the Finality of the Prophethood
We must believe the above clear Qur'anic Ayah about the finality of the prophethood because Allah has commanded us to believe the Qur'an, the whole of it; otherwise, we become disbelievers:
“Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is ) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets, and Allah has full knowledge of all things.” (Qur'an, 33: 40)
Denying the Sunnah by believing that Islam is only the Qur'an
"Say (O Muhammad to mankind): 'If you (really) love Allâh then follow me (i.e. accept Islâmic Monotheism, follow the Qur’Şn and the Sunnah), Allâh will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.' Say (O Muhammad): 'Obey Allâh and the Messenger (Muhammad).' But if they turn away, then Allâh does not like the disbelievers." (3: 31)

Shinoda LP 24-09-03, 02:25 AM Haven't I read a post similar to this, like 100 times?
Yes I have.

The act of slavery is one of the most grevious sins that a human can commit.
As you can tell I have a conflict with the Quran concerning slavery.

this is one area i'm finding very hard to come to terms with!!!!!!!
i'm sure if it was another religion that embraces this idea we muslims would be the first to attack it's cruelty. very very strange to me.
I think it's better to stick to wardah topic and not to have side discussion away from the point.
Shinoda LP 24-09-03, 09:12 PM That was funny, coming from you ... Ice Tea.

Ah, well since it was just OBJECTS like CATTLE and WOMEN
I guess that makes it all right :fire: :fire:
It's a wonder they even thought to make a distinction between the CATTLE and the WOMEN
and you wonder why people get a bad impression of Islam...
Shinoda LP 24-09-03, 09:28 PM Moonchild, you would think of learning more about Islam if there were worthy 'preachers' or 'knowledge-able' people on board.
I would try to learn from Scottish Girl, but she doesn't get on Sabla a lot, anymore.
There goes my chance!
ps/ Cattle and Women. :bored: (in the 21st century)
Wardat_il'7leej 25-09-03, 02:56 AM I knew i was going to get someback talk about that....

Right, it's enough that the woman will lose her family name after getting married.

It's strange to compare cattle and women........every farm boy like me knows......that that cow will provide milk alot longer then any farm girl regardless of how big her breasts are........
that's a no brainer..
BTW.....why am I getting the impression that the point of the thread is to show that non-muslims are a bunch of losers?
Is that what you really want to say..and that only muslims are good enough and pure to know GOD?
PS.....Kudos to Big Mo.....a man with a brain.
