I never thought I would have the opportunity to meet Mr Pinnochio (http://www.englishsabla.com/forum/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=790) in Muscat.

Tonight was the night and Mimosa was kind enough to make the arrangement for a sabla's gathering. The attendees were him, mr.Pino of course, as well as Somy, Blind_Melon, Neena, Orion and myself :)

All went extremely well and in a very cozy and warm atmosphere, we didn't stop talking!. Before giving my personal comments about tonight's meeting, I will let the others give their impressions first....

Mr.P! What can i say?

Totally nothing like what he is on Sabla, in fact, very pleasant Gentleman, Very respectful.. It was an Honor to finally meet him, and discover that he didn't really resemble his personality on sabla.

He didn't even look like the Picture he posted, rather more handsome ;)

We talked for almost 3 hours. The atmosphere was rather pleasant, i take this chance to thank Mimosa for getting us altogether, it was marvelous.

Well... Mr Pinno..

Looks nothing like the photo.. Cause it was taken 2 or 3 years ago..and well he's married now! :p

He's a funny guy.. It was really fun talking to him...
Listening to what he had to say about Muscat.. As it is his first time here.. Travelled all the way from England to ....er.. lets say meet us.. (Nothing about the missionery stuff! :rolleyes: )

And ofcourse a chance for me to meet all the others again! And meet Orion and Neena for the first time too!

It was just swell!

Well i must agree with all that it was a very nice evening indeed, and i no doubt at all have any sort of regrate. Excellent place with beautiful people what else yo need!?

However - i got to at least meet mim's, orio Blindy for sure .. and MR Pinno... and you are damen sure his nothing like what ppl think of him in here trust me.. totally differen't.. like 360 degrees differen't!!

I agree with everyone, Mr. Pino is nothing like the sabla member. When I first saw him, I was impressed by his hight and his strong stucture. He is definitely a fully developped man and was much more handsome than the guy on the pictures he once posted here.

His personality was rather charming and I liked his relaxed attitude...(I think he really enjoy smoking the apple flavour shishah!) He seemed to fit very well in the group and was very happy to meet all of us too. He has already decided that he will be coming back in december with his family for a longer holiday, so it is indeed good news :)

He is going back to the UK on saturday and will probably post his comments then.

Nice to hear that you guys met him :)

I would like to hear his impressions about sabla members :)

As for the rest of the group, I have to say that when I just stopped my car in the parking lot, the beautiful Somy came to greet me with her usual pretty smile :blush:. I always like seeing her in her Jordanian clothes and she was as usual very talkative and pleasant. I was wandering where was her "better half" 4-eva, who usually never misses any gathering?

Once inside the coffee shop, I greeted the guys, blind_melon and an omani lady next to Somy. I felt that I saw her before, but was unsure. It is only after sitting few minutes that I realized that it was our Neena!!!!!:eek: I didn't recognized her has she was wearing the hijab and an abbaya, which was quite different from the last time I saw her ;) Mashallah, I was impressed and we didn't stop talking most of the evening.

Blind_Melon was in a very good mood too and she seemed also very relaxed. I am still not convinced that she is such a big talker, as she was more listening to the group with her usual plasant smile. She is tall, cute and very sweet and I am still wandering how come she is not taken yet by Mr.Right? ;) I would have loved to meet her brother and sabla's member Solidus who didn't come.

Wandering why Dede and Naby didn't show up? :(

It was a surprise for me when I picked up my phone looking at a weird number and thinking this is probably someone who got the wrong number, as I answered this voice came up saying hello, and asking me when I was going to the gathering, I though, who the Heck? It turned out to be Miss Melon. By then I was 7:15 and we had plans to get together at 8PM, so I asked if she wanted to come, she wasn’t quite sure, so I said well get ready ill pick you up in 15 min! I must say, Mimosa was delighted to see her as he thought they she was somehow upset with him ;)

As I was trying to park my car Mimosa had called me when I picked up the phone saying “I’m trying to park my car, ill be there in a minute”

I swear as I was walking towards them I was thinking, that can’t be him! Totally not what anyone would expect, greeted us with a smile. I sat next to Pinno trying to over come the fact that he is actually in Oman.

I was happy to hear that what actually brought him to Oman was the Sabla. He has so far enjoyed himself as it seems.

Mimosa ordered Sheehsa for him self and Mr.P. My only condition was not to have that kind of air blown on my face (YUK)- I was all smelling of Sheesha by the time we left.

It was hard to recognize Neena as I saw her from the window, I’ve never seen her with a scarf before.

As Orion was sitting opposite me I didn’t talk to him much.

X-Press arrived wearing a beautiful abaya, stunning I must say, I love to hear her talk with her French accent, it’s so unique.

Apparently FaHaD couldn’t make it as we was expected to attend a wedding.

Mimosa threw his usual comment all over the place, but to be honest he was funny.

I am surpized that 4-ever-young decided not to come, I haven’t asked her why couldn’t she make it, however I do believe she has her good reasons :)

We left by 10:30, Spectacular evening. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world :)

Waiting to do it again in the near future, hopefully when your back in Christmases

As for Mr. P ... he was great ... reserved, chooses his words wisely, and seemingly very intelligent.

I met BM for the first time ... I think my heart skipped a couple of beats the moment I lay my eyes on her ...

sorry for not attedning the meeting.
i reached home around 8 pm just at time of prayers and suddenly got a call from my cousin reminding me to attend the wedding cermony of a relative in the mosque ... i was there till 9:30 and it will take me another 30 minutes to reach the gathering place..
wished to see Mr pinno... but i did have the chance to talk to him by phone... Man ur voice is too low or maybe it was because of me since i am talkative..:)
anyway, wish he enjoyed staying in Oman... hope u did diving..

Don't worry Fahad, Pino already did about 6 divings since his arrival :eek:...the man is really into it and he enjoy the fact that the Oman sea is still unexplored.

I was very happy to hear that he didn't end up in Ruwi Novotel, but was surprised that Al Bustan didn't impress him much and in his own words "was not his thing" :lost:

I think Mimo can add more as they are supposed to meet again before Pino's departure for some "Party Hardy!"....I understood that Pretender-Orion will not miss it :p

Yes i missed it...my hubby and i were too busy as there was a death in the family so couldnt make it!
