View Full Version : Invisible Mode?
BliNd_MelOn 16-09-03, 07:33 PM In Every member's User cp ..
You find the Option "Invisible Mode" available..
Selecting it would allow you to surf the forums without appearing in the 'Logged In Users' list.
I for one dont use it.. But noticed alot of the others do... The number of members logged in is true, but the names showing are less...
Though they sometimes post while being invisible and then I know that its THEM who is online...
I wonder..
If you use the invisible mode, why do you? Why don't you want to be seen by other members or people?
I my self can't understand it!
Some post while they are ininvisible mode! So actually... they show themselves!
O yeah :D
Some do it coz they wanna say that they no more come here ;)
Or some of them want to lower their online 'visibility' as much as possible?
not a problem for me. i can see them all. and the members who say that they wont post anymore..are actually still around.. even if only reading. :)

lol.. 3adi.. i have nothing to hide.
and anyways.. all i said is that i can see all members...visible or not. one of my rights as asst.admin. ;)
Sure thing - I can't understand the concept... and anyway why is that option being put there to start with!!
Maybe they just don't want members spying on them, lol, that's what ice t used to refer to it!
Don't know!
Or maybe it just a mood thing!
Endure Whisper 17-09-03, 12:06 AM Everyone has a choice.. and I guess, they have their own reasons when they do that :)

I suppose... I was only wondering.. What strong reason would actually make them not want to appear logged in Sabla..

Hmm...Cool option there for you Asst. Admin!
MoonChild 17-09-03, 12:39 AM I just realized I'm in invisible mode... I didn't used to be? :lost:
Guess I'll go change it back :)
Endure Whisper 17-09-03, 12:43 AM I don't know the reasons for that .. Just like you, I am wondering!! Maybe one of those who do, would come ahead and let us know why they do that ;)
BaBeLiCiOuS 17-09-03, 01:23 AM I know some ppl who do that and who r my friends they do that bcz they just wanna read and are not really bothered to post or anything ....thats wht they tell me
Benz$Babe 17-09-03, 01:33 AM maybe because some ppl are annoyed from others .. so the put themselves in invisible mode just so that these ppl wont know they're on! :color:
Blue_Chi 17-09-03, 02:37 AM I think that people should have the right for privacy, not everyone would like other people to know what he/she is reading and what part of the forum he is checking, I think that we should all have the right for that if we wish to do so.
I personally do not use the invisible mode, and I always check the online list because I enjoy knowing what other people think. :D
Homeless 17-09-03, 02:52 AM well benz$babe , they can easily put the ones they r annoyed from on the ignore list *simple!
I dont get it myself ... especially if they actually post at the same time!!

You know what.... I never thought about it this way! Since there another option that allows us to see what they're DOING online on Sabla! :D :D
I enjoy that option too! Always go to -->See who's online!
Libellula 17-09-03, 04:49 PM I've never used this option.. but I guess that some people might have their reasons to. (not that I know anything)

Actually..No, when you are "visible"...we can see you logged in Sabla! Like..Right now!
And when you're invisible..Your name doesnt show Hasoon..
But you will be counted as a member on the board.. :)
haso0on 17-09-03, 11:56 PM yeah i know wht it does
but wht am saying, theres no point
Homeless 18-09-03, 12:54 AM Blindy he meant that whether u c him on or not it doesnt make a differnce .. so even if u werent on invisible, then ppl would still not notice...
haso0on 18-09-03, 01:06 AM yeah exactly!

No - "I believe what he was trying to say is – whether you are invisible or not… one can still not see you in real!! ;)

There is a point, now lets say there is a topic about SEX, OK? and there lets say I was a shy girl member, I do not want people to know that I am checking this topic about sex for two hours, ok, if someone went to "WHO IS ONLINE" list, they can know that I am checking that certain thread on SEX, but if I was invisible, no one would be able to tell what thread I am looking at right now.
Another example, some people would just read some threads and not reply at the same time, other people CAN tell that these poeple are just reading and not replying, and this might give an idea that they are cowards or some other negative thing.
BliNd_MelOn 18-09-03, 06:35 AM Well Chi.. I got your point.. Its the only thing that actually makes sense.. Privacy in reading threads and posts...
Cool.. ;)
haso0on 18-09-03, 11:55 AM i guess your right
but...no one know the shy girl in real life, so there would be no problem
unless some of her friends or family are online

Exactly, I'm already sick and tired of privacy, they taught us quite much about it already at Uni. :D
