well B.M .. u probably opened the site from ur favorites or something.. but now .. if u click www.englishsabla.com .. u'll get the front page.. instead of the Forum itself. :)

Allow me to critisize the work (so it would be better);

1) The header (LOGO + MENU) with the the banner under it look squashy and messy, because stuck together. I would recommend space them out with an extra "BR" instead of paragraph.

2) Try to use the banner without a box around it, lines. See how it would look.

3) The normal text is too bright and is more fading with the background. You should always make the text opposite of the background. Meaning, if you have a black background, you use a brighter text. If you have a brighter background, then use darker text. Etc.

4) The side menu and the main content of the page is SQUASHED together. Meaning, if make more space between the "Sabla sections" and "Latest news", it would look better.

5) If you look for example at "Latest news", you see the text inside the page where it says Welcome to the new English Sabla front page. This is just one of the steps that we the Sabla Team are taking to improve the site as a whole. Is STUCK to the table. You need to space them out. Atleast maybe 2 pixels or so.

Anyways, overall it's not bad, and pretty calm for the eyes. Good job to Blue_Chi and Concept zero? I suppose both worked on it.

Kamakazy and the rest of the people who have created this....I have just one word for yu guys...."Superb"

Now it looks like Sabla is getting hot into the competition....Goodluck and keep it up..Im sure there'll be more from you guys and inshallah you'll be the best.:)

By the way Blu_Chi wonderful work...As always you rock.

The Front Page is masha allah beautiful, some of my friends who are doing IT saw it from the university and they're saying it looks really beautiful. The maker of the new front page you are really apprciated for that good and best art work, that really needs a little bit of creativity.

Thanks to the administration and all the moderators (particularly Thug, Nabhan and Dede) who have all spend many, many frustrating months discussing the Front Page issue, its layout and for making the changes accordingly.

I believe a lot of credits should go to Blue_Chi, our new IT moderator, who has followed our ideas and fully designed the Sabla Front Page in a very short notice. The result to my opinion is even better than I ever expected and shows his professionalism.

Thanks to the all Sabla team and hoping that you, members, will also be satisfied with the final result.

i asked Thug the same question...

if you think about it, why have links to seprate sablas? if it was so, some sablas will be neglacted... and we always encourage our members to visit all sablas and read about everything init...

that is why we have an Enter button rather than links to each sabla...

Yeah, you press the enter button and then get....er.....a list of links to each sabla. So it makes no difference to how many times each gets visited. Do as Choccie says, she's right!

Oh yeah, and the ES logo top left linked back to the new arty home page. Let it link to the index page instead.

Would the front page actually change dates automatically when we enter a new day? That should be done..

Thats part of our technical problems
its related to the coding and the PHP/HTML thingy!

I hope that kamakazy will wake up soon from the Australia thingy and setles him self faster so this thingy can be solved faster!!

the latest news states the last day we had an announcment to make... yes it is set at the moment to 15/9 not coz it is the actual date, but coz that was the last date the frontpage was updated...

about the java code... it will work on the front page, but not in the sabla...
