I am a very bad Bargainer for sure.... can't even think of one good Bargain i made in my life!!:rolleyes:

The best bargain I had would probably be on my mobile phone.
The actuall price of my previous phone was 150 RO. And I got it for 125 RO.


the best value for money item I ever bought would be on a watch.
it was worth it.

hmmm.. i guess on a CD writer. got it for a rather good price.

people you don't have to haggle to get a good bargain. you could find an item for a real low price that you never imagined.

not all of them worket but the quality is crap.

i would call the jukebox i got early this year a bargain. the retail price was USD 580 and i ordered the d@mn thing online for USD 499 and free delivery. it has 40GB capacity and i have about 560 albums (7500 songs) in there (still not my entire music collection). i have used every single day in 2003. i use it in the car, in the house, planes, trains and whereever i go. nothing has brought me more joy in this past year (yes not even sex). now that's a bargain.

It actually depends where you are,
In Far East you have to bargain even in 5-Star Hotel and if lucky you could knock the price 50% of the market

well i never bargain. actually dont know how to.. always my friend tells me i could get the thing i bought at a lower price than what i bought. so when we go out ..... she does the bargain work.........and of course i save , thank you friend....

I'm never good at it and I prefer if I don't do it. If I go to a shop and buy something I won't try to bargain, I'll just take it as it is. One I tried to buy sheelah and it was for 3 rials I think. I tried to bargain and I got it for 2.5 :) I thought that I did something and I went home telling my elder sister. She laughed and told me that she would have got it for only 2 rials if not less and believe me she can cuz she's very good at it.

I dont know how to bargain... I thought of giving it a try.. I was with my sis, she wanted to buy a phone which was R.O 140..

I thought to bargain the price... so I asked... whats the last price that he was going to give us... and he said it was 138! and we got it for that price!!

My sis was like... you only managed to bargain for two rials off.. I told her if it wasnt for me, she would have paid 140... she looked at me and we started laughing at how dumb the situation was!:D

I am also like Areej.. i will go for a thing that I can afford otherwise i just walk away from it. I am just glad that i get special prices at Hangten

Once I made a very good bargain... I got a PS2 CD which costed 18 rials I think for 500 Bz.. I simply told my friend to go and take it for me using his skills :D

They even have something they call "first sell". This is their first sell of the day. Supposedly you get the best deal of the day.

One of my best bargains was a pair of pants my wife wanted. After she decided she would not pay the merchants price and walked out, I thanked him for not coming down on the price. I told him I would have had to buy those pants. He then gave me a price way cheaper than she was demanding. I bought the pants dirt cheap, made the merchant happy and made my little lady happy too. :D
