Of course everyone has heard about it, I am not really sure of when it will actually start or if it has started at all, the people working at it seem to put a great effort promoting for it, I really wonder of how "specific" the census is going to be? Would it be able to tell how many people from a certain tribe are available at a certain place and such stuff, or would it just be a stupid number of living humans only thing. Do you care about the census? Do you have any experiences about it?

i have no idea about this census because i believe they will come to our home at the last day only..

what i know is that i recieved a message saying : " census counts because you count" and i was like :eek: :tiered: what si this ?


but it is such a wonderful job because of many uses of census in public health , epidemiology, housing, ...etc we really get the most valuable informations.

but i really be much happier if at end we get the real results because what i know is the actual count might be hidden because of political issues.. this is what i have been taught in medical statistics as the political bias.

Who you care much about Tribe, where to many tribelism is History what Counts is your Imaan, careful, and Human Loving person, and ofcourse your Education and wealthy how you give it out to poor. and yet in this Advanced world peopel still talks about tribes I get sick when i read this:bang:

Anyway, I did not mean it in your way, but I just wondered of how specific the census is, the problem in Oman is that no one really wants to talk about the things they are scared of, although that they are present and everything. For example, is this Census going to tell us which "mathahib" are EXACTLY present at which sectors, and what tribes live where, that is not a reason to express our racism, but a method to understand our society more as different people require different things.

Please don't RUSH with spontanous unthough replies and try to have a positive expectation about other people instead of jumping with accusements.

how can informations about how many mathahib we have in Oman is important .. I think we should concetrate on uniting them instead of creating percentages which could just trigger envy in some hearts and lead to more problems.

Tribal issues are the same. imagine a small village consisting of two tribes that doesn get along .. in the census it turnes out that there are more of one tribe than the other, beleive me the other tribe would start making problems and so on .. the tribal issue is in the blood of Omanis. :D

While studying, I used many information from the census. I think its an important activity that should be done every 10 years.
