Hi everybody ,
i've opened this thread so that all sabla members can share any yummy tasty weird receips they have ...
i'll share my first recipe its for some kind of a chocolate cake that my friend made up and i really think its so delicious so i'll put the ingredients and how to make it here !!!
1) Ingredients for cake:
-3 eggs that have been left out for a while.
-454 grams of non-salted butter ( half of it is for the cake and the other have is for the sauce )
-1 glass of powdered sugar
-1 glass of ovaltine
-1 spoon of vanilla
-2 cups of flour
-2 spoons of baking powder
-1 glass of nido milk or normal milk if u want.
* To make the Cake :
In one bowl , mix the three eggs with one glass of powder sugar till smooth ( with that machine mixer i think its called a whisker or something). Then mix it with the half butter. Its better to chop the butter to small blocks so that it will be easier to mix. Whisk it all up till smooth then add the 1 glass of ovaltine and the 1 spoon of vanilla and mix till thick and creamy.
In another bowl mix the 2 cups of flower and the 2 spoons of baking powder with a spoon. Then add it slowly to the 1st bowl ( the one with the ovaltine mixture) just adding a little and whisking it then adding a little more till its all mixed up. finally add the 1 glass of milk.
Mix the mixture till smooth and creamy and pour it into a pan painted with oil and a thick dusting of flour ( the best way to do this is to 1st paint the pan then drop a thick amount of flour in the middle, swirl the pan around your hand and make sure the flour get up to the side of the pan as well, then throw away any extra flour.) now spin the pan with cake mix in it so that it will turn flat ( if u want to ) I use the microve to make this cake so 1st press convention and then press 200 degrees celscius and leave the cake bake for 30 mins. If using an oven then just keep the temp at 200 degrees celscius . If u want to check whether the cake is ready or not just stick a knife in the middle slowly nd pull out . If the knife comes out clean with no mix on it then the cake is ready
( i think its better to use the oven ) :color:
Ingredients for sauce:
-3 eegs from fridge
-about three quarters or half a glass of powdered sugar.
-half a glass of ovaltine
-1 can of rainbow tea milk
- half a block of non-salted butter( actually three quarters of this block is better )
*To make sauce :
Mix the three eggs with one glass of powdered sugar, half a glass of ovaltine , 1 can of rainbow, and the three quarters of the half block of butter( don't forget to chop it into smaller pieces) When smooth pour it into a small pan. Get a medium sized pot that the pan with the sauce could eazily fit into without dropping down. Now fill this pot with water half way through and put it on low fire . Put the pan on the pot but make sure to keep a small space so that the steam could escape out , like keeping the pan slightly leaning. Keep the pot on the fire untill all or most of the water is vaporised stirring the sauce every few minutes so that it wont stick to the side of the pan.
While doing this the cake should get ready so remove it from the oven and leave it cool. Then get a big plate and drop the cake into it . Cut the cake into little blocks so that the sauce can get into the sides as well. When the sauce is ready pour it all over the little blocks of cake, let it cool a little and keep the cake in the fridge but make sure its covered.
Enjoy !! :color:
