The original looks like the back of a frog..........

Then the result looks like a developed pokemon. :D

In photoshop and by using the image supplied here as the source....

@ Dublicate the layer...
Layer > Dublicate layer > OK

@ Then rotate the dublicated layer 90 degrees clockwise...
Edit > Transform > rotate 90 degrees CW

@ Change the blending mode...
From the dropdown that says normal on the layers window choose Darken

@ choose the move tool... and move the image in different directions... you'll see that new images are created by moving around

@ When u find a shape that u like ... choose the polyganol lasso tool and go around the image that u created

@ then copy it into a new document
after selecting the image > edit > copy merged> file > new > ok > edit > paste

@ repeat the last two steps 3-4 times with each new image being pasted into a new document

@ then open a new document and paste one of the images that u have created in there and then add another one

@ for the second image set the blending mode to lighten.... as we have set the darken mode above

@ now u can merge both images into each other.... and they would seem as one image.

@ Try fitting them in away that u can get a view of an images that u want to create...
Do the same with the other images...

There is a techinique used to repeat some actions u make..... look at the head of the image that i have created..
I will be mentioning how is this done in my next post.

Enjoy :)
SHow us what u come up with..

P.S u can use the Hue/Saturation option to colorize the image
Image > adjustments > hue saturation > check the colorize button

you did a really great job .
why dont you try adding more sharp dark lines to it .

It is cool, you have actually used the original image as a texture only, you could have made the same thing using any other object to get simply a different colour, but still, this is a good job I must say, ;) Try constructing a whole graphical image rather than putting the object you've created on a blank canvas and exporting it, that would make it more prestentable. Good luck!

Thnx concept... sharper lines? hmm... actually i did try that.. and thought htat this is the best output i could get.

Bluechi, actually i was more into practicing the building of a graphical object trather than a whole combined project.

But the idea of combining it to present it in a more attracting and interesting manner did get to me.... will try something with it i guess.. ;)
