Capcom's recent update to its webpage promoting Bio-Hazard Outbreak, the upcoming cooperative online survival horror adventure, features a full rundown of all eight characters in the game. Unlike past games in the series, Outbreak tells the stories of several different people, random residents of Raccoon City brought together by the disaster that overruns the town.

As it happens, Capcom has decided to be a little less than creative with its character designs in Outbreak. Unless we miss our guess, every star is based on a popular actor or actress. Here's a set of comparisons -- check them out, and see if you agree with our picks.

Kevin here is one of the easy ones. This young RPD officer bears a more than coincidental resemblance to Eyes Wide Shut and Days of Thunder star Tom Cruise.

To get George's inspiration (he's the surgeon with the shady past, by the way), envision a little more of a smile and some slightly shaggier hair. We thought at first that this might be Adrian Brody, but no, it's more likely Hugh Grant. Some have said they get an Edward Norton kind of impression, though, which is also a possibility.

Alyssa, the newspaper reporter, is another one where you have to ignore the hair. The suit and the badge, on the other hand, even if that's a press pass and not FBI identification, are a dead giveaway. She, we think, was inspired by The X-Files' Gillian Anderson.

Cindy, a waitress at a bar in Raccoon City, may be the most obvious homage of all the characters in the game. All you have to do is look at the lips -- even with blonde hair, she's obviously Julia Roberts.

Jim, the trapped subway worker, is a little misleading. At first, the hair says Dennis Rodman, or possibly Wesley Snipes in Demolition Man. But you have to think a little further forward than that -- it's Chris Tucker, sporting the dye job from The Fifth Element

David, the mild-mannered and quiet plumber, is another fun one. Give him a couple of black eyes, split his lip, and he's quite obviously Brad Pitt.

Mark, the security guard and Vietnam veteran, is hard to peg. We think, however, that his face is Lou Gossett Jr.'s -- they've just broadened his jaw and raised his forehead around it. The shape of his head says Ving Rhames, but the facial features recall An Officer and a Gentleman.

Yoko, though, the Japanese computer expert, has us befuddled. Either she's an actress only popular in Japan, or we're just looking in the wrong direction. We welcome your input -- the best guess we've gotten so far is that she's a young, short-haired Yoko Ono.

The Resident Evil games have always had great graphics compared to all the games released in the same time, Bio Hazard Outbreak is going to be an Online game, I just wonder if it is going to have any offline game features.. well, I hope so.
