Dear all,
I recieved this e-mail but have no idea what to say.
Do you know the list of Dhofar and Al Nassr players?
Do you know if they have a web site?
Thank you very much...

The new MixedMan from Oman.

===========================
I hope you can help me.
I am looking for a list of players who play in the Oman teams Dhofar and Al Nassr. The information is for use in a computer game.
We would very much like to have these teams represented accurately in the game as we have good information for teams from other continents.
Any help you can give will be most gratefull received.
Yours faithfully and with kind regards,
Lynne Stewart

World's Top Goal Scorer For 2001

The world's top goal scorer for 2001 is not Michael Owen, Raul or Luis Figo. It is Hani Al-Dhabit Faraj Bait AL-Noobi of Oman according to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).

The statistics show that Hani scored 22 goals in 2001 for the distinction of being named the top scorer. A key player in Oman's national team, Hani plays for Dhofar Club and finished the league as the leading scorer.

Asia practically took the limelight in the IFFHS honours list with Kiatisuk Senamuang of Thailand scoring 16 goals to share second spot with Archibald Thompson of Australia. Kiatisuk turns out for Thailand's Armed Forces club.

Three other Asian players also finished amongst the top ten in the IFFHS list of top scorers for 2001. Obaid Al-Dossary of Saudi Arabia and Jeddah's Al-Ahli Club, was seventh with 14 goals while another of his countrymen, Talal Al-Meshal of Al-Hilal FC Riyadh finished on joint ninth place with Yasser Salem Saleh of AL-Wadha Club, Abu Dhabi (UAE). Both had scored 13 goals.

The IFFHS which has been listing the top scorers for the year since 1991, indicated that there were world wide 38 players who scored more than ten goals each. Only goals scored in full international "A" and inter-continental club competitions between January 1 and December 31st are considered for top goal scorer of the year award.

Oh well, we should play more often with these countries then, that is probably the only way we can get recognition :)
