This movie is doing very well now in the states and that's a good indication so lets wait until it comes here :D :color:

yes that's all what I got to say about it.. you want to save your 2 rials or 3 rials or whatever, then don't watch it.....

I watched it ... its not a bad movie, but its the usual punch line ... 'action, action, action'

Nothing new ... the same old s.hit.

If you have nothing better to do ... and want to get all this hype about SWAT down, then watch it.

It had a good first weekend, but I don't expect it to do well the next week (I watch almost all movies on the first day ... lol .. if it is good, that is)

you can bla bla bla bla for as long as you want, but the fact remains S.W.A.T sucks. The reason why the movie landed down big is because of the smart Marketing they did for it.

I agree with qais, it is rather a good movie. The beginning is maybe a bit slow as we are wandering what will happen next;.. but the action builts itself up as the movie goes on and it becomes very captivating and entertaining. We leave the theatre will our adrenaline quite high and watching Colin Farell on big screen makes always a girl's day :)

I recommend anyone to watch it, unless you hate any cops related movies...

How wonderfully weird to see a movie come out in the UK almost two months after it came out in Oman.

I enjoyed SWAT. In fact, I enjoyed it more than most action movies I've seen this year. As brainless entertainment goes, this one's quite solid. It's a very simple story with lots of cliches -(don't look for any originality here). But it's well made with charismatic actors who have quite a hold on their audience. It's light. It's fast paced. The music is good. There are enough jokes and funny goings on to keep you entertained. Not to mention that the action is first rate in an old fashioned way. There are no computer effects or wiz-bang special effects. It's almost like an action movie made in the 80's but with a more modern sensibility. Everyone involved knows that they're not making a masterpiece but they know it's fun entertainment and you can almost see the joy in their faces and feel it in their performances.

S.W.A.T. shows that an action can be entertaining without having the mega multi-hundred million dollar budgets of movies like Terminator 3 and Bad Boys 2, and without having spectacular set pieces that try to use more explosives and fire power than a third world army. No cars flying in the air, no cranes destroying entire cities here either.
