We're talking abt looks here, I thought it would be interesting to see what features of a person the sabla members find as beautiful.
Beauty standards around the world :~
Caucasion:~ The 'Barbie" look, blonde hair, blue eyes, model stick, very tall. ;)
Japan:~ Soft skin, a body massage of warm milk is the rage here.
China:~ Longer legs. Women go through painful ways of getting taller (some few cm)
Sahara:~ The bigger the better, if she does not have 12 rows of fat around her belly she is unfit for marriage! :D
Senegal:~ A bride-to-be is fed rich puddings and creams a week before her wedding to fill out her hips (the bigger the better).
New Guinea:~ Droopy breasts are the hottest thing going! :sweat: No underbras here, women attach ropes to their breasts as soon as they start forming.
Argentina:~ Long, blonde hair. :color:
South America:~ Bum jobs (plastic surgery) are done here, big bums are wanted here to show off ;) and body shaping.
Iran:~ Nose jobs are the rage here, girls as young as 17 go for nose jobs. :eek:
Arabia:~ Waxing :eyes: most important session prior to a girls wedding day.
India:~ Simplicity and nose piercing! :kewl:
Jamaica:~ A smile and high cheekbones :) .
Korea and Italy:~ Eye jobs are done here. 7% of S.Koreans have had double eyep-lid surgery, to emphasize upper lid creases . Italian women are equally fixated on reshaping their eyes, requesting an upward slant.
L.A and France:~ Full lips are an-all age obsession here.
When we look at these beauty standards around the world we see that we created what we see as beautiful, beauty is what WE define as beautiful, it is whatever WE say it is, whatever OUR culture says it is. While some cultures find thin women beautiful, others want big babes. In some cultures the hottest chicks are bold, while others the longer the hair the better.
Bottom line: We are ALL beautiful. Somewhere around the world your looks will be considered to be beautiful. Be happy with your features :), they are what make life interesting!
