Now, I need a camcorder but I found out that they cost too much, well, beyond my budget at the present time. So why not a second hand one from a trusted source.

if i were u i will go for panasonic, brand new down here u.ae.costs from 1500 dirhams, to the specification u mentioned.

u know why?Panasonic u can get even a thread of spare if needed...but never try with 'Sony' as u have to buy complete component. Thou it is popular for the present time, but no good when u come into trouble.

with a budget of 200 pounds you can get a new one,i just bought one a mounth ago for my grand father,it was a KODAC DC 215,i tried it ,it's really a good one,a large screen,flash automatique,memory card,zoom,...an it's coasts only 2300 FF i think around 220 pounds,if you are intersted,i can search for cheaper one,just tell me how do want it.may be you can also find the same in uk.

i m just coming back from the electonic shop(next my uni)and unfortunatly when i bought the camcorder it was a special offer,now the cheapest is a toshiba ones 3490 FF(around 320p),i m sorry,i hope that you will find one :)

very wel if u will decide to buy secondhand one then how u will test it and got to know it.

first ask for at least 72 hours for checking it (insist on this)

dont pay full amount ..i know in uk second hand items, shops they like to chisel others but keep on insisting on that.


now what to do at home.

put new film and let it record fully no matter 3 or 4 hours

then play it while u watch...and watch out if u see 'woobling, picture distortation ...Take it back and take your money.

...u should keep you ear wide open while watching what u recorded...for sound how it reverbarate.


see on that side screen that there are no black dots, these are caused by ..using camera while indoors heat, and istantly out cold, and that couse a moister to build and cause black dots.

if u can call home, oman and let somebody get it for u New, please go for new under guaranteee.

i know the saying 'cut your coat according to your cloth'
but try for new one.

yeah I know that shop but I can’t go to london because I am busy although its only 80 minutes by train. I can wait till summer vacation though.

I think you can find a brand new one in the states for a decent price.
What I suggest you is to search the net for one which you can afford and then try to ask about it in UK, with friends or in the electronic stores. If you like it you can then tell a friend in USA to fetch it to you.
