Ruptured Heart


I thought that I was different from the rest; that I could resist your perilous charms. I was wrong it seems. I’m just like them. Just as weak. Just as vulnerable. You captivated me with your sweet words; all those promises you made. I can still remember the quickening of my pulse every time your lips parted to whisper something in my ear. I’d smile, delighted by your murmurs. I was so deluded that my desires overcame logic. I could only hear what I wanted to. I failed to realize that every spoken word was honeyed and too good to be true. And now I pay the price for being feeble, for being almost human for once in my life. I somehow managed to save myself and see the truth. Sometimes I wish that I had simply floated away and never woken up to reality. I wonder if it might have been less painful than it is now. Your deceit pierced my heart, and I’ve been bleeding ever since. All I see is crimson, as the life flows out of my being. I’ve been ruptured.

I'd been told by a good friend of mine that she stopped seeing the colors of the world ever since she was 'hurt' ... it makes better sense now.

I was wandering if what you wrote was meant to be a poem or simply a story? Secondly, why did you write the entire text in one block with no separation or paragraph?

It's not a poem (I'm terrible when it comes to rhyming!).. not a story since it's way too short.. just a paragraph!

I like writing little excerpts like this :) I can't really write long pieces because then I usually get bored or run out of ideas.

Oh, you noticed? lol :p

Umm. I only do it online :) My handwriting's messy.. and this way I get to keep logs with the date and I don't lose all the entries.

The use of words is amazing. U really know how to describe well, It's like we're feeling every word.

Right now there isn't! If I get off my lazy butt and work on my website like I said I would about a month ago :eek: it would most definitely be up there. I'd put up a small collection and update them regularly..but so far I still haven't quite managed to. :sorry:

The truth is, I'm too lazy!!:duh:
