as I enter this conversation. WEll.....people, I would like to say that unless you love hip-hop, love good lyrics, and understand the ghetto lifestyle...you won't like PAC......BUT I DO!! And actually Biggie was another of my favorite rappers. Now I dont listen much to M&M's stuff too much, but I gotta say that he is an awesome lyricist. Several sources close to Amaru Records have confirmed over the past few weeks that Nas has been putting pressure on Afeni and Tupac's estate to release a video for "Thugz Mansion".

2PacLegacy.com previously posted that only a video for "My Block" would be released, which prompted an outcry for a "Thugz Mansion" video from a lot of fans. It seems Nas to wanted the video clip to be made, but more importantly, he wanted the video to be of the acoustic version featuring himself.

I personally am left wondering what Nas' motives are behind his persistence for a video for the single. While I would love for him to have Pac's best interest at heart, I can’t help but feel that he is only doing this because he wants it for himself. What rapper wouldn’t want to be in a video with Tupac? Especially one who has been accused of Pac biting, and had a beef with Pac while he was alive. This would be a great way for Nas to get into the good books of casual Tupac fans who wouldn’t even realize that Nas was mixed into the track.

Regardless, the more videos and singles for Better Dayz the better, and a video with Nas would bring more play for "Thugz Mansion" on the music video stations.

As I submit this nothing has been confirmed from either party involved, but we have been informed that the go ahead for the video is very close to being made.

When Nas got the call to appear on Tupac's new Better Dayz, there was no question — he jumped at the chance. Even though the slain rapper dissed him on record, the king of Queensbridge has remained a fan.

"That was something I've been waiting to do for a long time," Nas said Monday in Atlanta on the set of the "Thugz Mansion" video. "It's a tremendous honor because I put Tupac beyond Shakespeare. Unfortunately his early demise didn't allow him to still be here and do more incredible things. The things he left are timeless. Just to be a part of that is an honor for me."

Nas appears on the acoustic guitar remix of the "Thugz Mansion." A version with two Tupac verses and one Nas verse appears on Better Dayz, and the ratio is flipped for the version on Nas' God's Son, due December 17.

"As soon as I heard it, I was with it," Nas recounted during downtime. "It was something I wanted to do with just a guitar playing, not really drums — something you could hear the words [on]. I was looking forward to doing something like that for my album, so when I heard [Tupac] doing it and the things he was saying, I was like, '****!' It goes to show how he was one of the most incredible poets. It couldn't have been a better song at a better time.

"The concept of the song is somewhere to go where there's no problems," he added. "Everywhere we go, there's a problem. Everywhere I turn I'm hearing my name this way and that way. It's always an issue on all types of levels. Just being a human is hard. 'Thugz Mansion' is like exactly what the title says — it's heaven."

Nas said working with director David Nelson (Coolio, Naughty by Nature) on "Thugz Mansion" was a different experience than shooting the video for his own single, "Made You Look".

" 'Made You Look' was basically about me in my element, in my city, New York City, on the streets. You always wanna capture New York on film. There ain't nothing like it. It ain't really been captured in a while. A lot of videos are glossy with the cars and girls with the bikinis. It's real fly, but I wanted to take it back to the streets. ['Thugz Mansion'] was artistic, a lot more artistic. It's a whole different vibe. Being that the brother Pac is not here physically, there's different techniques going into shooting the video to make sure it's done the right way."

"Thugz Mansion" is slated to air December 13 on "TRL" and December 17 on "Direct Effect."

Well, i was reading the post's and i was like wow, I have contributed in this thread years ago and I was at the time a die hard fan, I never use to listen to any song except 2pac and hang around with people who only listens to him. Its amazing actually.

Anyhow im still one of tupac's fan, but I didn’t like the last album cause it wasn’t tupac at all, afani was trying to make something different and change a legend but it didn’t work, people liked him when he was original. I really wish afain would to try her best this time and pick str8 L.A producers or make some old tracks as if tupac was alive.

Exactly, I've been saying that over and over again. I'm afraid the next album going to feature jay z, mob deep, junior mafia and diddy. I will defiantly not going to buy or download that album.

The problem is, his mom is trying to remove that tension between him and his enemy's, which in my opinion is ruining tupac's image.
