In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Assalamu alikum brothers and sisters..

In this thread I would like to present a simple Islamic quiz.

The Question is:

What are the Animals that are mentioned in the Holy Quran? and the verse "Ayah" that mentioned it.

Each person replys with a right answer with:

- An animal (will get a point)

- An animal + the verse "Ayah" that mention it (will get 2 point)

Every extra verse "Ayah" will add another point to your record.

Let's see who'll win at the end ;)

بالتوفيق

Elephant in surat Al Fil

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ

Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) not seen how your Lord dealt with the Owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka'bah at Makkah

Ok HH you got 2 points..

Sad dreamer.. you wrote the verse only and dint write which of the animals mentioned in it you meant.. well ya I guess I'll add a Rule: 1 animal at a post (weather you want to add the verse or no it's optional but you have to write the animal)

So for now you got 1 point!

spider

[029:041] The parable of those who take protectors other than God is that of the spider, who builds (to itself) a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the spider's house;- if they but knew.

[002:065] And well ye knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath: We said to them: "Be ye apes, despised and rejected."

[005:103] It was not God who instituted (superstitions like those of) a slit-ear she-camel, or a she-camel let loose for free pasture, or idol sacrifices for twin-births in animals, or stallion-camels freed from work: It is blasphemers who invent a lie against God; but most of them lack wisdom.

[18:18]"Thou wouldst have deemed them awake, whilst they were asleep, and We turned them on their right and on their left sides: their dog stretching forth his two fore-legs on the threshold: if thou hadst come up on to them, thou wouldst have certainly turned back from them in flight, and wouldst certainly have been filled with terror of them".

[18:22]"(Some) say they were three, the dog being the fourth among them; (others) say they were five, the dog being the sixth,- doubtfully guessing at the unknown; (yet others) say they were seven, the dog being the eighth. Say thou: "My Lord knoweth best their number; It is but few that know their (real case)." Enter not, therefore, into controversies concerning them, except on a matter that is clear, nor consult any of them about (the affair of) the Sleepers."

[7:176]"If it had been Our will, We should have elevated him with Our signs; but he inclined to the earth, and followed his own vain desires. His similitude is that of a dog: if you attack him, he lolls out his tongue, or if you leave him alone, he (still) lolls out his tongue. That is the similitude of those who reject Our signs; So relate the story; perchance they may reflect".

[2:26]"Surely Allah is not ashamed to set forth any parable-- (that of) a gnat or any thing above that; then as for those who believe, they know that it is the truth from their Lord, and as for those who disbelieve, they say: What is it that Allah means by this parable: He causes many to err by it and many He leads aright by it! but He does not cause to err by it (any) except the transgressors".

[2:68]"They said: Call on your Lord for our sake to make it plain to us what she is. Musa said: He says, Surely she is a cowneither advanced in age nor too young, of middle age between that (and this); do therefore what you are commanded".

[2:69]They said: Call on your Lord for our sake to make it plain to us what her color is. Musa said: He says, Surely she is a yellow cow; her color is intensely yellow, giving delight to the beholders".

[2:71]"Musa said: He says, Surely she is a cow not made submissive that she should plough the land, nor does she irrigate the tilth; sound, without a blemish in her. They said: Now you have brought the truth; so they sacrificed her, though they had not the mind to do (it)".
