MUSCAT — As many as 43 people were killed and 498 others injured in a total of 905 road accidents in May this year, an official at the Royal Oman Police Public Relations Department said yesterday.

While i was reading the newzpaper i came across to this headline which annoyed me ..just multiply that in 12 ..you will come out with huge no. of ppl who die every year because of road accidents....that really distressful .

That,s only speed contribution.

Isn,t really painfull?

 Very sad indeed :sorry: nothing I can comment except that just be careful while driving, speed will only kill you and don't ever trust a car or road :( ( but do you think ppl listen? or understand? everyone think is a good/smart driver)

Well we can look at this in two ways:

1. Are our roads safe to drive in or in other words are they 'Road Traffic Accident' (RTA) buster?

2. Are many people in this country suffering what is called a 'cultural shock'?

May be a bit of both!!

its indeed a very serious problem ... daily we hear stories about road accidents and MOST of them come out of speed ...
I dont think its simply a road problem .. because even when its a one way road where everyone should be taking one direction .. you hear about terribale accidents of turn over and so ...

I think it is mostly the irresponsibilty of the young generation ... they drve as if they own the world ... this is why most of the casualities are people from 18-30 years old!
