Been around way too long and now they're yesterday's news.

Might have been superb with no.1 albums, a handfull of grammy awards, music that appeals to the majority and the focus of the flashlights at award ceremonys ten years ago but are outshone by the likes of Britney and Justin nowdays.

So who's lost it?

They were the giants of the 1980's and look at them now. MJ only gets to be in the news for his freaky behavior. He hasn't made a good song in almost a decade.

Prince in my opinion was one of the most talented musicians of all time. He was a one man band. Wrote, produced and played every single instrument on most of his albums. And boy his music was like magic. And then all of a sudden he goes and changes his name to a symbol. What a stupid move. But even in that stupidity he still made The Most Beautiful Girl In The World, the symbol album and lots of good music. But then he decides that he hasn't done enough stupidity. Calls himself a slave and breaks off with his record label. Yet he releases The Gold Experience which is a good album. And then follows up with a the triple album Emancipation which has lots of good songs but would have been a brilliant album if he had cut the crap and made it just one single CD of great songs instead of 3 CDs with good and not so good songs. Anyhow, still excusable- at least least it was distributed by EMI so fans can buy it at any record store. But the dude decides he still hasn't done anything stupid enough and decides to start releasing his albums for sale directly on his website. So now unless you are a hard core Prince fan you wouldn't even know that he has a new album. Now even his fans don't give a f#ck about his new stuff.

One thing about Prince though, he tours consistently throughout the year. And the guy is minting money. He claims he's making more money now than he's ever before. Unlike MJ who's albums don't sell and yet he doesn't tour. Thus the brother keeps getting deeper and deeper in debt.

Prince
Mariah Carey
Toni Braxton
George Michael
Whitney Huoston

all whom their latest albums /singles..were flops..on the U.S and U.K charts .

Whitney Houston and Mariah especially. I haven't heard any GOOD new songs by them.. :sorry:
