Low Rise Jeans

How low will you go ladies? For the last 3 years or so, and not since the 70's, girls have been into the "Low Rise" look (meaning low on the hips)...Now the latest fashion craze in the US are these brazilian jeans. They are super comfortable because of the STRETCHY knit fabric and they are super low. I have included some an example on Britney here.....

I just love those low cut jeans. I remember when Mariah Carey first showed up with her waist torn ones and it just rocked.

However they don't look good on everyone. I'd only reccomend them for women with well shaped waists. Having a tummy and wearing low rise just DOESN'T GO. :duh:

Oh, I love hipsters! I have a pair that's really low.. a bit like Britney's ones from the videoclip of "not a girl, not yet a woman" :D


And yes, they're soooo comfy!

I only buy the low waist jeans now...I can't seem to wear anything else...and they look good on me... my dad doesnt like them though...he hates jeans in general on girls and wished if i wore more skirts and dresses! ...and my mom thinks they are wayyy tooo lowww and afraid that my bum :duh: would show!!! sheeesh!!!!:eyes:

But...they're super ok....and no matter how low they are, bum doesnt show...ok!!! Hm...But Runnin' is absolutely correct... problem these days that people just go with the newest fashion trends..and they tend to buy anything and everything even if it doesnt look good on them or don't suit them!!

You can wear it at home, or at a friend's place, or a party.. or just under the Abaaya.. not necessarily out in public for everyone to see ;)

I only buy hipsters, not just in jeans but in all types of pants.

But whoever said that bums never show is wrong. I have seen it myself where the bum is exposed to some degree and it aint a pretty sight.

I'm not that big of a girl! I'm ok! Bum doesnt always show unless ur big...then these jeans arent made for them big girls!! LOL! kitkat..thanks for the compliment....but now they are all i wear...so i feel comfortable with them....It just takes time for u to get used to having nothing on ur waist but below it... :)

Me neither, I now hate jeans that have a high waist. And as Raff said, U can get them in everything. Every swimsuit i have purchased this summer has been "Low Rise"....I dont know if i will ever go back :)

from a man point of view the lower the better. i don't mind if it goes as low as the groin.

Agree with you Dorellam, I think its trend now, in every shop its hard to find jeans with high waists.

Anyways, I agree that most things look nicer in low-rise. But this trend was NOT set by the West. In fact, all traditional belly-dancing outfits are low-rise hipsters. It just didnt have a categorical name.

So there you go. Arabs have always known 'sexy'.:rolleyes:
