All of us talk about forgiveness,,, and always try to forgive both ourselves and others

My question is,,,, what is forgiveness ??!!

Does it weakness or naives?!

Does it happen quickly?!

Does it mean to forget all about what happened in the pas?!

Does it mean to put the other person out of our hear and forget him/her for ever?!

What do you think??!!

I'll tell you one thing about forgivness.

Lots of people tend to misinterpert it for being a weakness. They think it's lack of character and submissive........I consider it strength in all ways.

It's easy to hate, easy to stay angry.....but it takes some strengh to over come that and move on. Also it means letting go of a little pride. Which many find hard to do. ;)

There's a difference between forgiving and forgetting.......can't put them in the same league....

Whether it happens quickly or not that's up to the individual person.......and the depth of the wound...

I might forgive sometimes. But i WILL never forget....

To forgive someone on an issue would depend on the issue it seld at the end. But generally, to have the ability to forgive someone shows maturity in the first place.

As been said by RA above...it takes more strength to forgive.

Hating will result in more hate... nothing else.

But there will exist this bit... where you wont forget what happened.... but you'd prefer to keep it for your self..

Forgivness! It's a gift to have!
As RA said, it is sooooo easy to hate and to get angry, but what do you get from that? Being lonely? Feeling miserable? If God forgives people then who are we to stay upset?
Before you decide not to forgive someone, think about how much YOU are going to lose so much, by not moving on.
You win by forgiving...
Again as RA said, you have to losen up a bit and take the initiative to talk, which many find it difficult, pride they say!!
I've had to forgive many friends many times, even when they said some really harsh words, I can't forget that easily, but we moved on, we're still good friends, and I didn't regret it at all.

to be honest, i find it really hard to forgive and i may not forgive at the end. i dont know why this is happening to me but really have to tried to forgive people yet cant ......

Though its difficult to forget specially when u r Hurt deep inside
But Forgivness should be always infront of us and within our hearts!...to hold hate wont lead to any were! (was said above!)

And always remember...Lord forgive us for many many sins we do make and commit daily! so why dont we humans forgive our partners for some mistakes that are sometimes even silly? Life goes on!

My self I feel this is my weakness I am very weak in this case.. I have so many problems with people but when they come and talk to me I talk to them I smile to them and I forgive them also even if there is still problem caused by them.. So I wish If I am not like that because I lost so many thing because forgiveness but I have kept still my relationship with them friendly..

To forgive is not to continue to hold anything negative against someone and to try to put what happened behind us.

It is not always easy to forgive, especially if we have been unjustly hurt. I think if we still forgive this shows more strength and kindness than weakness.

I can forgive, but this doesn't mean that I will forget...

It is not a weakness/naives unless it happens all/most of the time for the same person even if he/she made a big mistake that it its not forgivable at all.

It depends on the person's personality, the environment, the reasons, etc. As for me, I don't forgive vary fast.

but i think ,,,, it depends on the person him self ,,,, he/she has to put this red line where he/she cant forgive anymore ,,,

i dont know about this,,,,, case after all ,,,we all human ,,, and we sure have that point inside us where we cant ever ever forgive ,,,

and it must be a very very serious thing that will make us cant forgive ,,,

Cant forgive when some one cross the red limit and insult all mighty name and the prophet (PBUH)

then when it inculdes my parents

and finaly my dignety which is important to me as well!

that what i think of now! maybee there r more!
