1- do I have to warm up the car in summer? what if I walk a bit then warm it up if I have time?

2- which one is better for the engine while waiting for say 10 minutes. turn off the car, or keep it on?

3- Is there any relation between the speed the the aricondition's efficiency?

4- how often do you take your car for maintenace?

5- what do you use for your engine's "water thing" ( I don't know what it's called) ? only water or some speciale liquid. someone told me don't use water, there is a special liquid for that?

Thanks :)

as far i now the newe car's dasent ned to warm up

2- which one is better for the engine while waiting for say 10 minutes. turn off the car, or keep it on?

If y ar draiving long time it's ok to keep it 10min But if it's around no need

3- Is there any relation between the speed the the aricondition's efficiency?
Yas

4- how often do you take your car for maintenace?

After 10,000 km but if it's old 5,000 km

5- what do you use for your engine's "water thing" ( I don't know what it's called) ? only water or some speciale liquid. someone told me don't use water, there is a special liquid for that?

Water colar 4 the redator

In the driving manual of my car it says 'don't warm it up' should turn on the engine and drive!

I'd rather keep it on! I don't wanna sweat to death!

3- Is there any relation between the speed the the aricondition's efficiency?
depends on the car, I think, I know that some cars AC's depend on the thermometer inside the car where you adjust the temperature you want. But if there is a relationship between speed and AC efficiency, it would be interesting to know what it is?!

4- how often do you take your car for maintenace?
I think it differs from car to car. In my case for example, it says to take it only every 25,000 km. i.e. That is almost once a year if you don't drive more than 2000 km/month!

5- what do you use for your engine's "water thing" ( I don't know what it's called) ? only water or some speciale liquid. someone told me don't use water, there is a special liquid for that?
Can't understand the question!

1- do I have to warm up the car in summer? what if I walk a bit then warm it up if I have time?

u should see the heat meter or engine thermometer in teh display front of u.. this meter measure the temperature of the engine oil. if it is above the blue or sometime shaded region then u start driving. accelerating teh car will accelarate the engine component , cold oil will cause some problems which will decrease the engine long term efficiency

2- which one is better for the engine while waiting for say 10 minutes. turn off the car, or keep it on?
as it is mentioned above, if u have drived for long distance more than 100km , wait for 10 minutes then turn it off.

3- Is there any relation between the speed the the aricondition's efficiency?
according to my knowledge , AC decreases the engine revelution u can notice it in the meter which displays the revelution per minute(rpm). and it will not affect teh speed but does affect acceleration and power.. thus when u riding high hill switch off the AC( depends on ur car power), and same goes while racing.

4- how often do you take your car for maintenace?

this depends on ur car engine.. most of japanease cars maintained after 5000 kms, some of europian cars maintained after 15,000 , other after 25,000(BMW) and some after 30,000(Peugeot)... this depends on teh type of oil used and the engine material........ if u are not doing the car service in the agency , try to buy the green car oil ( i saw thi kind of oil from adnok company , which won as the bets oil in the world) this oil last longer..

6- additional information: after driving 100,000 kms try to change teh differential peniun unit oil.. this will decrease teh sounds which comes from the back while turning.

5- rgerading teh coolant, engine water.. actually it is the radiator water...
coolant has higher boiling tempreture than water.. thsu it is bettwre to use the coolant.. but when the level of coolant is low u can add fresh water to it.

Thank you all, I'm somwow novice in machine related things.
:)

1- usually it's below the blue indicator, but I get out of the parking and warm it if I have time, sometimes I just ignore :) and drive (My poor car, no democracy)
well, I see somepeople do this to warm the car when they have no time; the keep the gear of "P" and the side break up so the cr is stopping, they run the engine and then step on the accelerator's pedal while the car is stopping. is that "healthy" to do?

2- maybe I didn't express my self right.
here is an example: I'm waiting for 10-15 for a car hop service in a restuarenet. suppose I have the luxury of the good weather. should I switch off the engine, ot it's better to keep it on?

In other words, is it harmful for the car to on and off the engine frequently in short time, or it's better to keep it on although the car is not walking?

3- so for better airconditionning I shoulf go faster or slower?
Ive heard that if you are driving faster than 120 km/h switch off the AC?

ohh sorry E-c for teh delay...

1- it is better to warm tje at the lowest revolution per minute, that is without accelarting the petrol pedal...

2- it is better to kep the car on for short breaks... because it will be less electrical pwoer consuming... u need initial power to swtich on the car from teh battery.. and once the car is switched on it uses electricity generated from teh dinamo...

3- A-C efficiency will not affect teh speed... but it does affect teh power and accelartion( how fast u reach to certain speed) .. in another word more fuel consumption.

Thanks Fahad, sorry I was late:)

One last question :D

can I use my AC on its heightest (number 4) while the car stopping without "hurting my engine" , ot I'd better walk?

I know I'm repeating the same idea, but I'm not that sharp when it comes to mechanical things

thanks :)

it depends on your car really

i noticed that new car models has extra mechine in near teh engine which operate when u open the A-C .. i don't find such a machine on japanese car.

so it depends on ur car,
if your car does not have that machine and u operate the AC at maximum level for long time , this might damage ur car compressor... ( don't ask me why and how because i am to not a mechanic...:D but i know this fact.
