Banks in Oman

i was informed by a high ranking man in banking that All banks have stopped giving loans to Omanis. Only OIB is giving but only to its customers , and only 20 salaries not 40 like before. When the time comes - not soon i hope - we will all find ourselves starving.

hmmm, this sounds serious, y do u think this is happening here in Oman, isn't the oil prices high? or is the economy going down, maybe the its coz of the bonds??? who knows, this is definitely not my field.

when u say that they don't offer loans to Omanis, does this mean that they offer it to non-omanis only?

that's a horrible thing to happen...because it's not possible for anyone in oman now to built a house or buy a car without loaning from a bank....
does that mean i can't buy a car when i'll go to oman??? that's unfair....
