hallo!
I need your help with reducing some little extra weight!
What advices from your personal experiences you can share,those that worked for you,
WHat and how to eat, what exercises(especially for hips)


P.s. I know ppl will start think am fat hey am not really fat but it is good to reduce little extra inches ;) what do u think?

Girl, you grab that idea out of mind:D. I was about to initiate similar topic but with different name, something like weightwatchers, so we can share different tips.

Back to the topic. First you need to analyse your food intake, do you take proper food nutrients, if yes then do some exercise eg. walking, jogging and circling would be the best for the hips.

Again balanced diet alongwith regular exercise go hand in hand for permanent weight reduction.

Yes I think I do eat proper food, but aha tell us which food is proper? yes am trying as much as I can to go for walking.

You should eat as much as you can vegitable and fruits, followed by protein, Cabohydrates and Fats should be minimum. Don't forget plenty of water.

Never ever go on a diet cause you will end up gaining more wieght than you lost.
If your an adult eat three light meals that cover the food pyramids and jog 30 minutes a day atleast 3 times a weak.

if you diet you will endup with lots of nasty stretch marks

Qais, losing weight doesn't cause stretch marks :rolleyes:
Gaining weight quickly causes the stretch marks!!!

For me, I HAVE to exercise to lose weight, diet alone doesn't do it. The very best calorie-burner I've found is called an "elliptical trainer", the reason is because it doesn't put any stress on your joints so you can work much harder and burn more calories for less perceived effort. I can burn 600 calories in 45 minutes on that, but only 250 calories jogging for 45 min!

The other important thing is do some weight training - you will NOT build bulky muscles - having toned muscles burns a lot of calories even when you are not exercising. 3 times a week for 30 minutes, do some weight training. I can suggest good exercises for gym or at home if you like.

Of course you also have to eat well, like Highness said, lots of vegetables and fruits, followed by high quality protein. Eat bread sparingly and make it whole wheat, not white. Minimize intake of junk food while you are losing weight - if you need a treat just have a little bit, the best way is to have a big glass of water to fill your stomach, then have a little bit (like 1/2 serving) of what you are craving.

the last thing is, make sure you eat ENOUGH food. If you eat less than 1200 calories a day, your body goes into "starvation mode", you metabolism slows down, and it actually makes it harder to lose weight. Eating 5 small meals a day (300 calories each) is also better than eating 3 bigger meals.

Big Mo.....you are right on the money..........this time.....no carbs is the ticket........LOL

Recently my diet guru passed away.......in a freak accident.

His name was Dr. Atkins.....

I went from 104 kilos to 75 kilos in 1 year by completely changing my diet.

It is based on a no carb diet.......and as much protein as you can handle......also 5 meals a day.......

No rice, potatoes, bread,pasta, fruits.(except strawberries )

No sodas.(diet sodas ok)fruit juices......NO NO sugar....no sweets........and No cakes.....

Alot of meat, chicken fish.green vegies....cheese, butter, salads.....mayo.....cream......eggs.

I totally recommend it.......check out the Atkins center for more info......

In 2 weeks you should lose at least 3 or 4 kilos.but much is water.

In any case.......don't worry about the fats and calories......it's the carbs which create the insulin imbalance and slower metabolism.....

Of course excersize is good.....on a regular basis......preferable with someone you like.....

Trust me on this one......and if you look anything like your avatar.....i wouldn't worry about it.......

Thank you very much am gonna try the best I can and ofcourse will keep you posted the outcome.Besically I need to reduce may be 3-4 kgs to feel better.

Mr. Me, where do u suggest to go for swim?bytheway did u notice that am in Oman and ofrcourse am a lady?:D so where do they have separate pools for ladies?hey I dont aford one:p

Dear, I think my problem is with my metoblasim .. I dont eat much but I feel am continiously gaining weight!!!

how to increase my metoblasim rate?

As you age..it happens slowly.your metabolism changes.....slows down.

Exercise!!! But if you aren't feeling well you should also go the doctor and get a check-up, get your thyroid tested.

Are you sure Cuty about that?? Cauz Chocklet contains huge amount of Calories so she gonna gain weight instead of losing it:lost: . Jamila asked who to lose weight in some parts like hips & I'm telling her that Arabic Dancing might works;) Just try it & tell me the result.

As for exercise ,, walking is known to be an effective way,,, as oprah researched.

Here are my tips, and they've worked for me. I am still 47 kg after 3 kids.:D

~Eat EVERYTHING in moderation.

Too much of anything is not good for you, but cutting out a food group completely isn't good for you either, and it will be difficult to maintain. The key to losing weight (and maintaining the weight loss0 is to find something you are comfortable with, and which doesnt require too much deprivation.

~Eat at least 5 small meals a day.

The more frequently you eat, the faster your metabolism will become. Take it as a rule. Eating only once or twice a day will result in your metabolism rate slowing down, and your body will store the food as it knows you wont be refeulling for another 10 hours or more. So in essence, eating less frequently will make you gain weight.

~Drink drink drink.

Water is the best drink for the body. The more you drink the healthier you will become.

~Do not eat before going to bed.

Ensure that your last meal is at least 2 hours before bedtime. You need to have time to digest it before going to sleep.

~Keep sugar and fat to a minimum.

I didnt say eliminate, just minimise.

~Walk, run, dance, swim, or any form of exercise that takes your fancy.

Nothing beats activity to reduce weight and develop muscle tone which will improve your overall appearance. Dancing works fine for me. :D

Thanks Choc but as I said I need to reduce only 3-4 kgs so I wouldnt really need to see Nutritionist. dont worry am not gonna listen stup1d comments :p

I HAVE ADVICE FOR ANY ONE IS FAT by wieght ?

when any one feel by wieght ,,he or she must first time do these methods:

_ he,she must to them eat everyday littel foods like vegatbles,meats,chickens and any thing is inside it butter to much it is not good for the health be cause when any one eat anythig like rice , petza, and there is to much butter .
his or her stomck will be very heavy and also they will feel some pains in them stomck after one or two months they will feel by something in them stomck like something move it meam there is some meats is complete by together in the stomck it si will be day after day or week after week u must be careful from the butter in any meals u eat it in the home or the restaurants this is my advice to any one is fat or not fat for everybody.

1) must to any one is fat eat the vegtable is a very good for the health
2)orang ,watermino,banana and fafiy

3)about foods : chickensob is the better meal ,cronflcks with milk ,rice with vegtables and lettel meat with braods.

hey i was serious i wasnt joking !!! :angre: this is considered calarioes deit u eat all kind of choclates but nothing else ONLl choclate for a whole period of time no bread no fish nothing else kilish ! and water ofcourse anyways that what's i think .... I wont be able to do that aslan :( cuz i just found out i have alergey (Sp) but if i didnt thats the only diet i'd do ..... cuz all the rest deits will make u even fatter than u were ...other than that, .. u can just reduce the amount of food of u eat thats what i do when i feel fat and it works with me

well Jamila, there this show on Dubai Tv at around 1pm Monday and Thrusday, a Dr talks about losing weight by using herbs and also gives kind of herbs that your weight will be balanced , it's all about food. or if you can go to UAE where this Dr's clinic is , it's in Ajman. if you can take a shot.

No need to follow any type of diet.. just follow this simple rule and you'll stay fit:


Dont eat after 6pm.


You should also do some light excercises (eg walking) at least three times a week.


-Drinking lots of water would help you feel full and thus eat less...
-If you are really feeling hungry after 6 you can have some very low calorie food, until you get used to the sysem.

I don't agree with your idea don't eat after 6pm.... for how long would I need to do that.

How about eating balanced diet and some exercise. Thats would do good for the rest of your life.

I think diets are good if you want to loose above 10kgs in a short period, once you're done with that, then you should stick to proper meal and regular exercise.

I agree with HH, why follow a strict diet if your plan is to stay fit, maybe lose a few inches and be in a better shape? It's much better to eat healthy and wisely and exercise, really, exercising makes wonders!! And you can lose those extra pounds easily, and still eat what you like, again wisely, and stay fit!

AFTER EIGHT YOU PUT WEIGHT

Scientifically this is right,,, if you want to burn as much as possible from what you eat then make your bulky meal in the morning and as the day passes make your meals lighter,the explanation is tha your metabolism is highest at the begining of the day and it tires as the day passes,,so at night the body will absorp your food without burning it.

Another good rule is DON'T SKIP MEALS cos when you eat the next meal you tend to eat more even if you don't feel it.
I have more rules if u want,,,but this is enough for now.
