Some members here like plastic_ring cant speak english very well so it can make it very difficult for them to understand what we r saying and sometimes they don’t make any sense. There is an arabic sabla for them to use. Some of these members try to preach about Islam or argue but since they only have a vocabulary of 12 words they make u guys(omanies) look like ignorant and stupid …..which is true…….kidding(plz dont stab me with a kanjar)

The Admin could PM these members and recommend Arabic Sabla or provide spelling check and an online English-Arabic translator...... This will help improve the quality of english sabla.
Using sabla will not help improve their english.

I know we will have less active members but think in terms if quality not quantity.
so does anybody agree with me?

no matter how bad somone's english, as long as he can express what he want to say he is welcomed to the english sabla ..
personaly, I understand Silver Ring perfectly and when I dont, I ask his to explain!

Remmber English is not Oman's first language, so what if there are some people who dont speak it well?! I challange those if they can speak thier second language fluntly too!

anyways..i think that ur suggestion Qais..is not a good idea. those who are weak in english can learn from reading around the sablas posts, so why take that away from them. not everyone had the chance of a good english education and if the sabla can be of some help to those who need it then thats great.

I don't agree.
I think we should be more understaning and tolerant.
As it is said above, English is a second language in Oman. Most of the members here and I am one of them, don't have the 100% perfect professional English. A language is the bowl in which we deliver meanings. We do care about the meaning not the container. Using a very perfect language is jsut like delivering the meaning in a silver plate.

A senseful meaning delivered in a bad language is way better than nonsense talk delivered in good English indeed.
I would humbly request all of my brothers and ssisters in this forum to be more tolerant to each other. This understanding and courtesy is the way for our forum to prosper.

For those members mentioned by name, I am very sorry about this. I am sure it is not even representing 10% of the members. Plese keep on partcipating in this forum. Add something to our pool of meanings. -:)

Actually SR was serious about leaving.

What he meant was that he was leaving and going to start posting at omanforum, which he did.

He said he was leaving 26/5 2:21 PM.
He joined Omanforum 26/5 7:27 PM

But he managed to post only a couple of posts, one of them, his famous Bible bashing post. Unfortunately he received such a trashing there that he then decided that it was easier to peddle his crap at this forum.
