question

Most of you know the contribution of Oman in Africa either in the religion part or in the economical and political states in the East Africa particularly.
But as you know the events that happened during the 19th century especially after the death of Sayyid Said Bin Sultan where the omani empire were divided between Said Bin Sultan's sons after which that empire had dissappeared gradually.
Anyway, what do you think the effect of Oman in the Continent of Africa especially in the East and Middle parts of it?!
I'm waiting for your participatino.

Thanks to you baoalwaleed, at least you are the only one who reply to my question.
But my question was exactly about the effects of Omanies in Africa. That is in tradition, in taking many of the arabic words, and in entering Islam, in addition to many other things. also, a comparison, if possible, between the effect of omani compared to other arabs visited africa.

It is a well documented fact that Omanis played a pivotal role in spreading Islam and good commercial practices in Africa. This is further manifested in the vocabulary and the interesting kaliedoscope of languages and cultures Omanis managed to bring along back into Oman.

The question here, what is next? How could Oman capitalize on this heritage and play another pivotal role in bringing peace to the tormented continent? Is Oman capable? Does Oman have the required assets and financial means? I don't know.
