Ok had this idea. Similar to Raf's art in photography thread.
THought we could post a new pic each week and everyone can discuss it. Lets hear what you know of the picture. how it makes you feel. etc etc..
We used to do this at college. it was a great way of learning about art and artists. Sometimes a picture you may not like takes on a whole new meaning when you know something about it or someone suggests you look at it in a different way. Others need no explanation but just provoke some sort of emotion like my first post.
Ok here is the first one to get the ball rolling.
Perhaps the most famous picture of them all.
Taken by Nick Ut of Kim Phuc age 9, screaming with pain from the napalm stuck to her back.
Nick a vietnamese photoprapher for the associated press rescued Kim, taking her to a nearby hospital to treat her severe burns.
He won the Pulitzer prize for his picture and it has remained a lasting image of the horrors of not just the Vietnam but all wars.
