If you had a power, would you ban Liquor, Pork and Cigarette if so why do you think the same should be banned in the country.

If the authority didn't care about the communities health,who would do ?Anyway it'a a good subject.I'll be right back to discuss that.

i mean, if we follow the law of the country is it the same as the law of Islam? for example, the country banned shisha, so various reasons coz its harmful and young kids do it. not to mention that its haram or makrooh in Islam. either it was haram or makruh, how about smoking? not to mention, movies, music, bars, discos, etc. why aren't they banned too?

anyway, back to the topic, if i could i would ban Liquor, Pork and Cigarette... but the ppl who use these stuff, what would they say about it? are they more ppl using these stuff than who aren't?

P.S don't think that coz i am called Kamakazy as the alcoholic drink no... i never tried it nor did i ever drink in the first place!

It’s is really an important subject to think about, is the government is the only one who have the right to banned whatever they want and leave whatever they don't or shall the individual can do some thing.?????

I just remember a story that happened in Syria for a long time when the clubs start to appear and people turn to join the clubs rather than mosques, one day the imam was waiting for the prayer to come for (salat al3eshaa) and a few people show up, the imam ask one of the prayer…

Imam: where are the people? Why they didn't show up? Man: they are in club (margas)
Imam: what the meaning of margas ?
Man: its a big room with a full of round tables and chairs and in the front there is a high stage and Curtin open and close, each time there is a beautiful girl show up and wear almost nothing and start to dance in front of every body, and people screaming and clapping.
Imam: take me to that place.
Man: no imam it's not your place, you shouldn’t go there, they would make joke about you.
Imam: we can’t leave people there we should do some thing, we are responsible about them, we should advice them.
Then they decided to go there, when they reach the club, the director of the club stop them and asked them
Director: what do you want?
Imam: we want to inter and talk with people.
Director: no, that’s not allowed.
Imam: we will pay for you.
Director: how much?
Imam: the same amount that you will earn in the full day.
Director: ok, but now there is a show and after the show you can talk.
Imam: ok, thanks.

After the show ends the Curtin closed, the people ware waiting for the next show, but they ware surprised when they saw the Curtin open and imam sitting on the chair and starts to talk, every body was laughing and making jokes, they think it’s a comedy part, one of the audience stand up and shouted on the people asking them to be quit and listen.
The imam starts to talk with a very nice emotional way, he remind them how this life is short and the death is waiting for each one, what they going to tell Allah if they die in the margas, what they going to do when they look at their books and it’s a full of mistakes, every body started to cry even the director, he get out of the club and all people followed him to the mosque.

I like that story, because it tells us that individual can do many things we shouldn’t wait for the government to do every thing for us.

I will defneitly want to ban alchol and if I could cigrett and everything that harms the society .. but there is also one thing that we should bear in mind ..
what ever is forbiden is wanted more . ( al mamno3 mar'3ob)
so if we banned alchol and cigrett .. I am sure there will be alot of people looking for something else .. like I heared that some omanis take perfume because the price of alchol is expensive and that is much more dangrous for the health .. some even make thier own alchol from grapes and so ..
therefore .. I think before banning it we have also to inform then and educate them and rehabilate them .. make them refuse to take it even if it was offered to them free ..
maybe easy said than done .. but then we should start now ..
even us .. we should educate our friends who are smoking drinking and so .. ask them to stop it and try to help them do it ..
the socity cannot be controled by the government only if the people did not help the government !
