WASHINGTON — Two dozen US and British warplanes firing stand-off weapons struck five Iraqi radar and command posts north of the 33rd Parallel near Baghdad yesterday for the first time in more than two years, US authorities said.

At least three children were among eight civilian casualties, according to Iraqi youth television, run by President Saddam Hussein’s son Uday.
