View Full Version : Stupid CNN - this ticked me off

This morning (or yesterday, I can't remember :p) , CNN started to show a live press conference from an Iraqi minister, and after about 2 minutes they cut him off saying "the US government would probably dispute everything he is saying" ... then went to live coverage of Blair's press conference.

Of course both governments are lying ... that what politicians DO... it just ticks me off that they took him off the air just 'cuz they didn't like what he was saying... made me wonder who made that decision! :fire: :fire:

Moonie,

The world would be such a better place if more people thought like you (or for that matter thought at all).

well,, it's not surprising at all, they just wanna hear something they want to !

Most of the western media are giving completely different coverage of the war in Iraq , than those in the Middle east !
what does that mean ?
One of them is misleading the public ! and giving false info of what is really happening in the war !

I'm sure both sides are biased towards their own sides and being misleading in their own way... and the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Unfortunately very few people have access to both sides of the story :(

Dear Moony

Your post is very much appreciated. It shows that you are thinking rationally and not only from one side.

Let me tell you something that's probably worse than that!

I am living in the States right now, and we heard on the radio something unbelievable last week..

there was a program about the war, and it was recieving calls from listeners (mostly american) to state their opinions..

All who were calling were pro-war.. and supporting U.S. led invasion.. the program hosts were very obviously also pro-war and verbally attacked people who are against the war.. they were also excited to tell about the arrest of hundreds of protestors around the U.S.

thats still not the bad part!

the bad part is when one american peace activist called and started saying in a nice and very polite way:
" Me and my mother are hearing your programs always, and we wanted to explain something to you about the peace protests.. those protests are not against America, but rather against the war because of the negative impacts it has on us and the world, and ..... "

There, the host interrupted him and said byeeeeee Jerry (or whatever the name was) and hanged up on him!!

We were :eyes:
Unbelievable!

The "Jerry Springer" of politics

sometimes it's hard to tell the "news" shows from the "opinion" shows.

On the flip side, last weekend there was a very peaceful "rally for America". On the same day, in a different part of town, an "anti-war" rally ended in violence when participants vandalized businesses including an army recruiting station. :duh:

There are 4 groups of people in the world:
1. pro-war, and have good reasons
2. pro-war, but couldn't tell you why
3. anti-war, and have good reasons
4. anti-war, just 'cuz.

My guess is 90% of the people of the world fall into category #2 and #4!

Perhaps you have a cildlike innocent mind.
I do not agree with your point no.2&4.
Let me tell aboutpoint No.4.
Those who are taking part in antwar rally knows well tha aggression is not the correct path.
Do you think agression on a country or nation can bring any good for mankinds?

Not every Americans are Bad, the matter of fact Mostly of Individual Americans are very good people very lovely to live with, But their problems is ignorance they dont want to know what is going around the world, and are fed and driven by very few American regime or Few Jews Lobby, But if all of American become like MoonChild then they will be different picture in America, as you can see MoonChild she tries to find out the truth and in many sources and she has better picture in what is going on in the Gulf, but many Americans almost 95% are being fed by propaganda from their Jews Media, weldone MoonChild keep it with the Truth

MoonChild,

That’s what I have been saying all along.
By the way Halliburton and some other American companies have been giving the contract to rebuild and look after the Iraqi Oil issues.
And the war is not over yet.
My question why did Richard Barns ( The Tactical advisor quit) from his position ..? The Congress have found him guilty of using the war for his companies benefit as I heard that he has one of the largest communication company and he has filed a bankruptcy.

The true picture is starting to show here...

Moonchild,
Its tactical .. They do not want to demotivate the American soldiers or British troops ... plus the American citizens and the World .. To see the real intentions of war and the massacre of the civilians .

Then again, all those folks in the cuontries listed in my last post are too busy surviving to protest war - the war protests are being held in the SAFE COUNTRIES - by people who have nothing better to do on Sunday afternoon.

The countries where you see anti-war protests - were the good citizens of Japan out protesting while their country invaded China or bombed the US? Were the French taking to the streets with placards as the German tanks rolled in - or as the US soldiers threw body parts all over Normandy trying to help them? Were the Brits protesting while Messerschmidts screamed overhead?

They are safe places NOW - but war has torn each of these countries in the not-distant past, and every one of those nations has had it's turn at being an aggressor.

If so many people think that war is not the answer, WHY OH WHY do SO MANY nations participate in them, and WHY OH WHY do so few nations act to stop their neighbors from violence?

How DO peace-loving people protect themselves (and those who need to BE protected) from the violent war-lords who are as active as they have ever been throughout history?

Obviously by this language you support aggression.

I can not remember who said "arab countries, zero to the left and zero to the right, but zero upwards and downwards". That was said here in the Sablah. The guy who said is genius.

Ok back to the discussions. Have you mentioned Northern Ireland and the Basque lebaration front, Badarmainhof ?

Well for those who praised Moonchild in the first place i say to you Allah`yarhamkoom :gap:

Not at all. I merely observe that aggression is widespread, though poorly reported or remarked upon if a particular conflict doesn't interfere with the comfort of your own life, or support your own religious or political prejudices.

It is a sad reality of the human condition.
