The other day , I was in one of the big furniture places , and we decided to buy a certain chair , the girl that was serving us was an Omani girl , very nice manners and good servicegirl, anyway my husband was suffering from a bad back and could not lift the chair to take it to the counter , so the sales girl asked one of her co-workers to help out ( he was a non omani) do you know what he said to her , and infront of us? he said - I DONOT WORK IN THIS SECTION - PICK IT UP YOURSELF , ITS NOT TOO HEAVY. well we were all just shocked by his response and the way he embaressed that poor girl , I know many people feel that omanis are not as good inthier work as non-omanis , but still human respect has no nationality.

Well...ummm...my point of view
I consider this issue is a conflict management...There would be a problem and we need a mediator...
I believe a touch happened between the foreigner and the Omani girl, and it could be possible of different things...
here we are, it was easy to be taken care of. I believe the girl could make a call to ask her boss to find her a quick porter or carrier, cause a girl can not do it by herself since she is only a girl.
Anqaa, why did not you just offer a kindful hand helping the girl lift the chair to the car...cause two girls are equal as one man http://www.omania.net/evip/ubb/biggrin.gif I wish I were there.

Tonight...I looked up at the stars, and I wonder where you are. Tonight I gazed upon the moon, in hopes that I would see you soon.

Ummm... well my opinion about that matter it was very bad of him to reply back to that way to that girl. I am totaly agree about nationality does not got anything to do with the human self respect.
Ohh well .. its something youy really can't change ... but if i was the girl you know what i could have done ??!! I wouldn't relly reply back to him or even argue with him .. try to find other help .. and once my clients are gone i will make sure to inform the manager ... and than they will deal with him .
Why should you waste ur breath on a banch of craps anyway!!! . No one can be good with out practicing .... all i can say is you omani ppl just work hard and prove to them that they are wrong .
Cheers ..

joyful - if i the two of us girls could pick it up , we would have , it was a BIG BIG chair , anyway , its not even her responsibility to pick it up , the non omani was dressed with an overall , which means he was to pick it up. Anyway , i salute the girl , for she kept her cool through the whole thing and didnt make a scene.
