I understand that number 69 can have several connotations but how do you feel, if people referrred it as sexual act ?

1. you say you wanna be a lawyer. does this mean we shouldn't believe anything you say from now? Well, hehehe this question is kind of funny actually, but anyways, I try to be as honest as possible and I know people always make jokes about lawyers being liars etc...but in my future career, if there comes a point where lying will help my client be found innocent, then i will definately do it! :)

2. congrats on the unconditional offers. are you planning to settle down in the UK after you finish the law drgree?? law firms pay big bucks in the UK!!!! Yes i will practice in the UK :) No doubt about that.

3. Do you speak arabic?? Ya i know the basics of arabic but i guess im not that fluent at it. I wouldnt be able to have a full conversation with someone in arabic ! :)

4. you said you want to change the mentality of some people. which kind of people?? is the Ice Teas of this world or the Chouchs of this world??? I wanna change the mentality of people who think they are better than other people! if u know what i mean????

very interesting
..he must be a christian too? Well I dont think that when one searches for their life time partner, they should consider religion as an obstacle. God has made a perfect partner for everyone and if mine ends up being a muslim or from any other religion, then this wont stop my love for him :)

My father is a Palestinian Christian :)

3)you are christian ! and you said I would definately change the mentality that some people have!

I am proud of my religion and i dont think that anything could make me convert to another religion.

Well I think that everyone has the right to interpret things in different ways...and if people want to view the number 69 as a sexual thing then that is up to them :) but at the end of the day, it is just a number!

As I never realized you were so young M_Angel and still in High School, it is nice to know more of you here.

As in 2 months you will be graduating, are you planning right away to move abroad for your studies or will you take few months break?

If you are moving in Europe, are you worried to face real life alone or will you be staying with people you know?

What made you decide to study law (great choice!) and is anyone in your family in such profession?

Thanks.

Navigator, silent_captured were the first to request your interview, so I hope they will post their questions soon ;)

wellllll.. nice to know more abt u.. :)

1. how did u get to know abt the sablah? "old question??"
2. how is ur relationship with palistinian moslims?
3. aren't u planning to go back to Palastine?
4. is ur mother British? if yes, how does she view the palistinian crisis?
5. when did u visit Oman? and why? "if possible"
6. what are ur hobbies?

thaaaaaaaaaaaanx in advance :)

Morbid_Angel69
28-03-03, 11:11 AM
Well i'll be staying in Oman for the summer after I graduate because my sister from the UK will come here for a holiday and then i'll go back with her.
I am not worried about facing the so called "real" world when i leave because my parents have brought me up well and I'm very confident about life and also very independant :)
I'll stay with my sister in London for a few weeks when i go to the UK and then I'll move down to cambrige alone :) But it should be exciting and I cant wait!:D

I guess I have been influenced by several different things to make me want to study law. Here is what has influenced me the most:
" The years that I lived in Palestine were very difficult, yet they allowed me to see the world through different lenses. The many injustices that I have witnessed on both the Israeli and Palestinian sides have influenced me to want to help change societies where many injustices go unpunished. My mind has always been set on pursuing a career in law, as I feel it is where my talents lie. Through admiring my father’s career, I view law to be among some of the most respectful careers through which I can make the most of my future."

The above is what I wrote in my personal statement that was sent off to UK universities! :) I hope that answers ur question!

1. how did u get to know abt the sablah? "old question??" -

I came to know about the sabla through some friends of mine who are already members here :) so thank you to them!

2. how is ur relationship with palistinian moslims?
I am not prejudice against any religion so when i was living back home in palestine I had many palestinian muslims as friends :) and still to this day I keep in touch with them!

3. aren't u planning to go back to Palastine?
For the meanwhile, i dont think that going back to Palestine is an option. The situation over there is not stable and its not safe. But if peace were to ever happen I would definately go back there because my dads side of the family is there and I miss them soooo very much! :)

4. is ur mother British? if yes, how does she view the palistinian crisis?
Yes my mum is British. Well I dont think I have ever really asked her this question but im sure she feels like the majority of us. She is neutral and doesnt take sides when it comes to such issues. And she doesnt think that either side (Palestinians or Israelis) are right because they are both doing things to provoke a crisis.

5. when did u visit Oman? and why? "if possible"
I was actually born in Oman and I lived here until I was 5 years old. Then I moved to Palestine and lived there for 9 years and now I am back in Oman and have lived here for 4 years now! :) And I live here coz my dad works here !

6. what are ur hobbies?
I like listening to music, meeting new people and travelling. I also like going to social gatherings and parties :D

really intresting interview M_A ..

ok well I have a questin ..
scince your orignally a palastinian, whats your view about who owns the land of palastine? I mean do you think that Isralis should stay there?? or you strongly beleive that the land if for palastinians (of all religions) and sould be returned to them?

Morbid_Angel69
29-03-03, 05:55 PM
will you consider living in Oman?
Well i dont think i could manage being a lawyer here in Oman because i am not fluent in arabic and also I believe that soon expats will be unable to stand up and talk in court - and that is one thing that I really am looking forward to as part of my career. I think that when i retire from law, I want to be a professor and teach law students, so if SQU offers law in the future :) then its a possibility i'll move here...inshallah! :)

what it is that you dis/like about Oman?
I love the people, they are very friendly and open to expats. Its also a really beautiful country and very clean compared to some cities around the world and its also pretty safe to live here as well. The only thing that i dont like about oman is the weather - its very nice in winter but summer is aweful!

Well I believe that the land was originally Palestinians but so much has happened within the years that it would be impossible now to just deport all of the Israelis out of the country - where would they go???? I know that many people are against israelis for occupying Palestinian land and I am too but theres not much we can do about it. The only way the Israeli-Palestinian conflict can be resolved is if everyone learns to live in peace and harmony with eachother(which i hope will happen one day).
I dont see why people of different races cant live peacefully side by side?!?!

Intresting answer Morbid Angel :)
I agree with you .. but I dont see that under the israili ruling. Because they are looking for that.
could the answer be that Palstinans and Israilis live peacfuly under a Palastinian ruling?

"I agree with you .. but I dont see that under the israili ruling. Because they are looking for that.

Well honestly if it was under an israeli ruling, the palestinians would be against it and similarily with a palestinian ruling, the israelis will also be against it. So theoretically we could say that "yea they should live peacefully together etc" but reality has disproven that...unfortunately.

you know that any muslim considering that isreal's people are real enemy for muslims and who support them too and never (impossible) they can be together or living in peace..!!!and this what Quran have said too.. because you are christian...and this religion is the nearest religion to islam ..would u going to stand with muslims agains thier enemy when they need that ..or u going to take another situation?!!

Morbid_Angel69
31-03-03, 04:49 PM
I agree that christianity is one of the closest religions to Islam, however in such a situation I dont think I could take sides with anyone. I dont consider the Israeli people an enemy...i consider the israeli "government" to be the enemy.

"Q. If you happen to be select a character in a screen play, how would you want your character to be. What type of person would be she be?. Please describe as much as you can. Waiting for your imagination."

Well I would like to be someone very passionate and caring...someone with a strong will to overcome everything. Also I would want to be a very successful character and I'd probably wanna play the role as a lawyer! :) And it would definately have to be a romance involved in the screen play as well! Ummmm...well...i wouldnt wanna be a character thats really evil or bad because I'd want to get as many fans as possible... :)
