Even one death is devastating, and we have seen hundreds.

Politically speaking, the Arab League is powerless in altering or even impacting on the sequence of events that are unfolding right now.

Perhaps, however, it will be a good opportunity for some idle chit-chat and maybe, just maybe some tempestuous but meaningless uproar.
