and what does it mean?

it was said by Bob Livingston , and i think he was the was the White House Speaker ,,or somethin like that !:rolleyes:

though i am not sure !

the original sentence is in french" la politique est l'art de concilier le désirable avec le possible"

in english we could translate it like that" politics is the art to reconcile the desirable with the possible"
wich means that politics is all about finding a solution between what you wish to do and what it's really possible to do, the hopes and the rude reality.

and it was said by Aristide Briand(1862-1932) a former french minister and president.

I get it D-S its as dirty as it sounds ( politics) 'first proffesion' is Prostitution .. Hmmmm it is true .
