An explosion outside the US Navy 5th Fleet base in Bahrain tonight shattered windows at nearby houses but caused no injuries, Bahraini officials said.

At the Pentagon, a senior military official said demonstrators had set off a propane gas tank about 400-800 metres outside the US Navy base.

A Bahraini Interior Ministry official said the 9.45 pm (0545 AEDT) explosion was caused by a cooking gas canister inside a trash can outside a compound housing mostly Navy personnel.

There was no fire and no sign of demonstrators.

"Death to Israel" was scrawled on a wall of the compound, but it was unknown how long the graffiti had been there.


So the explosion was there..... but by who??? still unknown

they say that its not any act. from any pple ... not a terrorist act ... its only something that happened from the embassy itself .an error..same as they said the explodsion in qatar next to the americain base was an error from a garage or something like that..... THese are pple's act and anger from what the bases r doing here in the gulf ... But they dont want to admit it .and make a big deal out of it .. so that they dont spice up the other angry pple who dislike them here !!!! 6areeeeqa was5aaaa .....a really dirty way to make us believe that all the other pple are accepting them here but me ... or 2 ....

Who would have thought a little island like Bahrain would do such thing ...
