The Iraqi Foreign Minister, Naji Sabri, is in Cairo to appeal for Arab support in resisting the American-led invasion.
He is taking part in a meeting of Arab foreign ministers in the Egyptian capital during which they will try to hammer out a foreign position on Iraq.
The ministers may have trouble reaching a common position because the Arab world is split down the middle.
Although most Arab people are angry about the American-led attack, some Arab governments are opposed, openly or in private, to Saddam Hussein.
They are unlikely to support a common statement from the Arab League that condemns the Americans.

I don't understand why there is a constant referral to the Arab World .. It is a hugely diversified entity that should not come under the same category! What does the Arab World mean??? ... I think the fact that we speak one language it does not make us one brain with one thought!!!!

We became a fair game and weak when we focused on Arab heritage and Forgot the Muslim religion. Forget the Arab world. We ruled the world when we focused on bieng Muslims.

Well to add on My Darkstamadas prophecy The Syrians have asked the Arab league to count out Bahrain and Qatar membership from Arab league .

Too true, Seham. Just like people thinking all Europeans think the same way. On the other hand, if all Arabs are not the same, why does anyone in Oman care what happens in Algeria, Iraq or Palestine?
