There is a difference between praying for the safety of Iraqis and praying for the death of brave Freedom soldiers.
As Muslims you may not be aware if this - so you pray for violence.
I certainly don't wish (what you call prayer) for Iraqi casualties - indeed, I hope the Iraqi soldiers lay down their arms as the Freedom soldiers advance and that some brave generals stage a coup - and remove Saddam from power.
If the Freedom soldiers complete their task without startling casualties, it will be proof that Allah has abandoned the Arabs for their unholy behavior.

That the American soldiers do exactly as they have promised to do - remove Saddam Hussein with absolute minimum casualties to both Iraqi soldiers and citizens, then move quickly to remove dangerous materials and restore order and infrastructure by bringing in engineers, doctors, supplies and food.
That the Kurds and Ma'dan are re-patriated and their homes and lives restored.
That schools are re-built and boys and girls can grow up in peace, under a government of their choosing, free of terror and oppression.
That, having taken on the responsibility of removing the existing government, Americans stay just long enough to over-see the establishment of a free Iraqi government and ensure stability of the area, and not one moment longer.

Islam is about PEACE, NOT about saying death prayers .

The "Jihad" can be by many ways, it can be by fighting in Iraq against Americans, by praying to Allah (like we are doing in this thread), supporting our muslim brothers/sisters financialy, etc.

If you fast and the Iraqi's still get soundly defeated will that be a sign that Allah does not listen to your prayers, does not want your fast and maybe Allah really wants Saddam Hussein out of power ?
