This is what M5 said to Wanderer this evening... refering to Yours Truly. Had M5 said these things to Wanderer face to face, bystanders would cheer Wanderer on as he beat the sh*t out of the pathetic loser who would insult a man's wife in that way.

I assume, from the history of M5's posts, that he considers himself a "proper Arab gentleman" and a "good Muslim". He even comes across as an Omani government official. Presumably upholding all that is good and right about Oman.

and allow me to ask why you haven't noticed those words of wonderer, and rather took the replies (reactions, not actions) of ppl he was talking to and showing it as "another example" ?!

Having that said, let me give you an answer from the Qur'an for what muslims SHOULD say or do when are faced by someone who's talking badly to them:
[ from Chapter of Al Furqan/The Criterion (25:63) ]

"The worshipers of the Merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth, and when the ignorants address them say: 'peace' "

Another translation of the meaning -same verse-:

"And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allâh) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness."

Note that this is the answer we should reply to people who speak badly, so what would you think Islam wants us to reply to people who speak to us nicely?
