I own a DVD with that pricem why would I need a VCD player. These days you can get a very good DVD player at a cost of 70 Rials. DVD can play VCD, DVD, CD as well and get good quality movie at the same time. So I guesss you won't be able to sell on that price.

It stands for that. DVD is a machine, like any other machine iit doesn't do a thing without the required output. Meaning DVD connected to a TV would be just like any other VHF player or a VCD player. DVD would be more clearler off course, but would you pay 40 rials extra just for clearnes, I guess not.

There where HOME THEATRE COMES IN. DVD with the right 5.1 dolby digital system output, you would have the time of your life. %..1 digital Dolby is basically a sound system connected to a DVD, to prduce a digital output. 5.1 means, center speakrsm, two on front, and two behind and a SUBwoofer. basically, the dialoge would be on the center speaker, while the effect would be on the front, and the specia leffects would be behind. No wonder you see all the cinemas are empty these days, cause of most of people perfer having their 5.1 Digial Dolby surround System with an amplified built in subwoofer in their house.

Not to mention the latest technology DTS and THS, most of the high tech DVD player suppport these new system you would find this printer on these DVDs (Dolby Digita, DTS, and THS), those DVD player normally cost 250 to 300 Rials.

Or one last thing, the DVD movie should have that option in it, so mostly when I go to rent a DVD movie I would look for 5.1 dolby digital input in the cover, only than I would rent the moviue, so I would enjoy it, but most of the movies these days have the 5.1 output.

this VCD plays CD-R there are not many DVD players that play CD-R , they "may" sometimes play silver stamped discs but not always. And all the lates movies come out on VCD b4 DVD. And they cost a lot less.
for thug, i recommend you get the pioneer dvd/vcd/cd player at MHD in ruwi i saw it going for 99.00rials. The aiwa dvd plays CD-R too i believe.
