Hey Guyz

I got this problem in my computer that needs a solution... Everytime I disconnect the computer stops, not even the mouse works... Imagin restarting every time I Disconnect... Thats bad for my PC...

Yeah, and another thing, after I use the internet for almost 10 mins, something goes wrong, nuthing will work, everytime I press on a link, I hear from the speakers multiple clicks and thenI get this page that the website can't be found, while the msn messenger work normally and all other programs...
The only way to get it back to normal is to disconnect, and the pc stops when disconnecting!!!:lost:

hmm ok

the hang after disconnecting most probably has to do with your modem..try to re-install the driver.

hmm IE dies..ha...either your settings..or maybe the IE version..

go to help in IE..then choose about

which version is your IE??

   Cipher Strength: 40-bit ..no wonder it doesnt
work!!.. most sites require min Cipher Strength: 128-bit for

example hotmail!

latest IE version is 6.0.~~~~

try to upgrade IE?...from
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp

---------------------

to re-install your modem ....you need to make sure you have the driver..before you remove it...

like you might have it on a CD..and the CD should with an automatic..menu...take you by steps on installing the driver once again...

if you dont have it on a CD ..you can always download it from the internet...(the driver) once you know which one it is..:)

if you not sure how to find that out....let me know......

1. Start
2. Settings
3. Control Panel
4. choose System
(inside system)
4.1. top tabs select Hardware
4.2. click on device manager

there....you will see under modem...the modem you have installed note down the name exactly...

done..:)

goood luck.....if anything not understood...let us know...

remember...you have do download a driver compatiable to your OS....

if you cant find it let us know as well...

No idea why!! :weep:

But lsn, let me tell you what exactly happens be4 this thing collapses...
ok, everything first starts well, but when I use the net for almost 10-15 mins, I press on a link, I am sopposed to hear a "TICK" after I press on it, but I hear many TICKTICKTICKTICKTICKTICK and then it gives me that the page is unavailable!:weep: :lost:

ooh...well...your better of then..trying to find it on a CD to update...like Computer magazines..they would have Cds that could contain a copy of IE 6.

What you explained is what usually happens as the browser gets timed out... hmm that how i can see it so far.... hmm..yup..soo far best solution is get IE 6 .... or try....another browser....

like netscape or Opera...

netscape 7.0 (http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/download.jsp)

Opera website (http://www.opera.com/)

Okay, I downloaded the Netscape, but it's no use, things are getting much worse, now the messenger won't even open WHEN THIS HAPPENS...

I guess that I have no choice except for to re-install the modem!
