So sabla guys.......

Would you want to be with your wife when she went into delivery? In the room with her while your child is being born?

And sabla women.......

Would you want your husband to be present at the time?

I'll post my answer after you. ;)

it would depend...on the situation....i wouldnt mind being there with her....but i heard...usuall..the wife..feels like killing the husband in such situations.. :D

beside...if it had to go to caesarean then..i dont think anyone will be allowed in the room... :)

and again....if she wants me there..sometimes..they get this weird...thoughts..and say dont be there! ...but i will only know when it really comes...inshallah :D

gotta be there, should be there, must be there, shall be there, after all it takes two to tango.
the only problem is that hospitals outside Muscat don't allow husbands to be there (still living in the dark ages). but my daughter came out to the sounds of Blackstreet's "never gonna let u get away".

of course i'll be there. i cant think of anything else that would bring me more joy than to actually be there for my child/childrens birth. and if they dont allow it in oman..then i will make sure that the baby is born somewhere where it is allowed. lol :D

My husband better be there......I'll drag him in by his hair if I have to. :gap: :p

Actually I like to think that he'd WANT to be there and would fight to get in..... that's what my dad did for my mom when my little brother was born. :)

Besides it's such a special, irreplaceable moment a couple share......

I was there. C-section and all. I thought it was pretty interesting and a great experience, though coffee wasn't allowed in the surgery room.

I'm SURE that's not the reason men r not allowed,
I think coz sometimes there r more than 1 lady
inside the delivery room ready 2 deliver..

About me, I'll be in that situation soon inshallah, but
I still didn't decide about being with my wife or not.

I agreed with my husband that when we have our baby he has to be there .. I cant think of me taking all that pain and him not beside me .. plus, he has to see how much I suffered and take good care of me later on :)

I shall attend it!!!

By the way
if u mean the husband should be around his wife in the whole process of delivary
well some MEN cant stand the sceen and they might faint!!!
some instead of helping cause more problems to the midwife and the doctor when they irritate and ask for pain reliefe for his wife ..asking many questions during the critical moment!!!

But as i said...personaly/....specialy first kid...I shall be there ;)

Sorry..that what simply I'll say to my wife inshallah. Because I dont wanna see her in pain but I'll be right outside that door waiting to hear baby crying where I'll sure go in to give my baby the 1st kiss inshallah.

Eventhough its one of precious moment in married couple's life but I dont wanna risk as ppl said earlier she can even kill you:D

Hmmm its so very much indeed surprising to see that the men that we have here in the sabla are actually agreeing or willing to attend while their wives are delivering.. very very interesting.....!!!!

Well,, you know in Europe they even allow the husband to actually take his video camera in... where he can shoot the Childs birth from the very very scratch.

its very true,, here in Oman majority of the times they won’t allow the husband to be with his wife while she is delivering. and that’s of course for the following reasons:

1. As one of the members said belong more than one woman in the same room while delivering.

2. Many times the husbands tend to FAINT.. so instead of making it easy for the wife they just make it even worse!! :D

3. Sometimes its because the doctor would prefer being with her nurses and the husband being there is just occupaing space.

4. Maybe the WIFE does not want that !!

My cousin fainted BIG time when his wife was delivering ... we could not stop laughing out head of!!

miss naughty, i think you missed the word outside muscat. i know so many guys who wanted to be there but couldn't because of hospital regulations.

Cherry,
you're shocked!!!!!!!!
i think alot of the ladies in here didn't expect the positive response from the guys. hey we Omani men are romantic, supportive and understanding you know.
