once I was reading a newspaper and I came to the page where horoscopes were listed. I found it says that I would meet one of my relatives that day and our relationship would be even more stronger :p . At that day, I was sitting alone in our hostel waiting for some relative to visit me or at list make me a call, but none of that happened:mad: .

so, sabla members, do u believe in horoscopes? If u do then have any of u came to an experience where what was listed in his /her zodiac came true? And finally, what is the Islamic point of view about horoscopes?

ont beleive in those : wait for a certain gif that will come your way today, this day is bad for you so better be careful and so on .. coz they are simply nothing!! how can a specific thing happen to me and another `10000000 people who were born at the same month!!

However, I used to stop at those writings about a certain personality and the zodaic sign. Not because I beleive them .. but would like to know what they say and check if my perosnality has it.


Islamic point of view, the kind which tells you what will happen in the future is certainly Haram coz it predits something that no one knows except Allah (3arraf) however, I dont know about the second part.

I don't believe that horoscopes predict your future or describe your personality
but I like to read them for fun. Maybe some part of me secretly believes.

i dont read them ..but i always wondered what methods do these ppl use to predoct the future or someones persoanlity!! i am sure Moonchild would know the answer to this

What i find interesting is that a persons personality/character actually does match their star sign!:D

When I was a kid, I thought it was so cool. :D

I'd even match mine up with any pop star I had a crush on!LOL....

But now I'm old and boring and it's just a bunch of predictions to me. :duh:

dont read em , dont believe in them. they're all predictions to me , and i dont get those people who have to check it every morning to know what's in store for them. :duh:

I find them very boring to read.

As 4 eva said, it can become addictive. Imagine being so attached to them that you schedule your life according to what your horscope says. Say you wanna go out with your friends, but your horscope tells you that this is a bad day for you and you should stay indoor, and you miss all the fun!
I believe that everything is in Gods hands. If something was meant to be, then it will happen no matter what precautions you take!

See my thread in Member's Lounge - I'll do a personality profile, you can tell the sabla how accurate it is - then decide if you "believe" or not :D

But it's just for self-analysis - you can't use astrology to predict the future or say that a long-lost relative will leave you money this week :rolleyes:
