What is the difference between a liberal and a secular?

is every liberal necessarily a secular?
is every secular necessarily a liberal?

Thanks:)

Secular means "non-religious".

Liberal usually means "permissive" or "non-restrictive" in some manner. In US politics, liberal is the opposite of conservative, and often means "liberal spending" ;)

I don't know if it means something different in UK or other countries...

The word Secular does not mean non-religious.

Sham, you're not being very helpful. Why don't you just answer the question if you know the answer?

I explained common usage in US... feel free jump right in if ya don't like it...

Thanks all for the input

I'd love to hear ur opinion shamsery.

I still have that idea that every liberal is secular.

I mean if you are a liberal, you should believe that relgion's place is the church, mosque ...etc and has nothing to do with politics.

I have never hear of a Liberal "islamist" or a liberal christian party.

Please tell me if I'm wrong, I'm not very confidant about my political background in this regard

Thanks all :)
