Chit Chating In sabla Lock in ur votes!!

Well in response to some of the requests I got by members demanding a complete restriction of chit chating in English sabla (in general) and Members lounge specificaly
here we go...a POLL and according to the results

well seems that we got in lots of votes but no comments..i for one voted for no chat at all...as chit chat tends to create problems..so better not have it at all..and if noe really wants to chit chat then there is the PM (private messages) facility

I don't mind seeing 1 or 2 fun and entertaining chit-chat threads where all the members can participate in a sensible way and without hurting each other.

However if most of the chit-chat threads are limited to less than an handful amount of members and turn into something useless which affects the sabla's image, than I would prefer not to have any.

I think we should have somewhere to chat/have a little off time in. We don't have perfect members they (including me) tend to go off subject sometimes (not actually meaning too), and they should have a place to go and......... ;)

Besides even if you vote for no.1 it is Impossible members will stick to it, it is human nature to venture off subject and we need a place to just chat, somewhere where we don't have to be boringly serious.

well ,,, all can view their post without object but! .... the member should not post for name sake and just to fill his record,,, try to give something more to the post or els get informative of the thread. beside that ,,,,, chit chatting is not acceptable unless the thread made to refresh the members in the sabla in the sense that to add some freshness in the access of the sabla ,, so you wont get bored of the threads.
Now the moderatores and the administrator can restrict the unwanted chit chat by locking the post which the members has posted,, or by intimating him frisrt of his mistake ,, and if he still like to do that ,,, the moderatore can take his action whether to correct him in good way or els .

Well I think that a few threads should be kept for chatting, as RA said, we all need somewhere to just talk about different stuff. It is impossible to stop the chatting, even if it becomes one of the rules! NO WAY! It will be difficult and we do need some flexibility. So I think that there should be some threads that are devoted for these kind of talks, but of course making sure that it doesn't get out of control, and try and be a bit more strict in other threads where members may deviate from the main topic.

the way i see it, it is imposiable to avoid having chit chats in the sabla, since most chit chats start in different threads, therefore i would vote for not having chit chats in different threads at all, except if the chat had something to do with the topic...

another point is if members want to have a couple of threads to chat in, then those threads will get too long and messy... an answer to this problem is to have a chat programe installed... where all the chats will be placed there, then there wouldnt be any more chit chats in the sabla at all...

btw, i voted for no more chats in the sabla

am against chating programme in sabla 200% against it and U know that very well Mr Kazy!!!!

I know its difficult to control BUt with all the trouble we got latley due to such threads!! aaah headache!

Agree with you Thugy....having a separate chat program will mean that there is a hight chance for most of the sabla's threads to be ignored, as the majority of members will spend their time chatting. We can't take the chance to kill the sabla main purpose and change it into another MIRC.

Well I voted for no Chatting in Sabla..
I tried very hard to see the good side in it..but unfortunatly couldnt find one!
I mean i see it as simply as...everything in this life has its purpose..A forum is to discuss and learn... MSN,Yahoo,ICQ...etc is created for chit chatting and getting to know each other enough...So why to have chit chatting by members in here!
U have Private Messeges, Adding members into your msn and all that... and as well the chit chats that takes place in some seriouse threads!
So get the right position..
And to me it creats missunderstanding problems more then entertaining-like other call it-..
