-We the English Sabla Team formulated set of rules to ensure order and ease the function of this Discussion Board
Every member is required to read and folow these folowing rules.

(GOVERNMENT)
Rule#1: It is strictly forbidden to disrespect His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Omani Government, its representatives and its policies. Mockery will not be allowed. It is the right of the administration and the moderators to remove a thread if they find the content insulting or sensitive.
(MEMBERS)
Rule#2: Members Nicks: When choosing a nick, members are requested not to use similar or copy a nick already in use in the sabla, as it can bring confusion.
Using more than one nick is not allowed. If a member is caught having more than one account without the Administration's consent, he or she will be asked to drop one nick, which will be banned, and post with the other. If repeated again a member will get a immediate 1 month ban. The administration will inform members of their banned status via private messages or e-mail.
Rule#3: Privacy: It is not allowed to expose, directly or indirectly, any personal or confidential details of any member or outsider without their authorization. Exposing publicly in a thread a personal pm is not allowed without the sender consent. Discussing private details regarding His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and his representatives will also not be allowed. Failing to respect this rule and based on the seriousness of the post, the Administration and moderators will decide if a ban or warning should be issued to such members.
Rule#4:Swearing/Flaming: It is strictly forbidden to insult/swear at any admin./moderator/member and such action can lead to a warning. If a member complains about being insulted and rejects any apology from his/her aggressor, only then the Administration team will decide if a warning should be issued. After receiving 3 warnings, a member will be banned from the sabla.
NB: Racism and Bigotry should not be the theme of this Sabla.Insulting other races and nationalities will not be tolerated at all. Any member who does this will be under the action of the above rule.
In general all warnings are subjected for every 6 months review. If the member behaves well during that, one warning will be deleted from his/her account.
Rule#5:Complains about a member: If in a specific sabla, a member has a personal complain about another member, he or she can inform via private message the moderator in charge. Personal problems outside of the sabla is not a moderator's concern and members are advised to solve their dispute privately.
Rule#6: Disturbing members: If after consultation, the administration and the majority of moderators strongly agree that a member has joined the English Sabla with the only intention to annoy the other members, or to continually disturb the spirit of threads, then the Sabla Team has all the right to issue him/her a warning via pm.
If after 3 warnings that member's behavior has not changed, he or she will be banned with immediate effect. If a contact e-mail is available, the Administration will inform that member about the ban.
Rule#7: Pm's: Sending abusive/threat/hate/advertisement-to-another-forum pms to any member on EnglishSabla forum is strictly not allowed; mainly, because we at EnglishSabla believe in prohibiting prorogation of 'hatred' through any EnglishSabla-provided medium. To report a 'hate' or an 'advertisement' pm, the member has to forward a copy of the pm to atleast one administrator of this site along with his/her forum password and NOTE: do not delete the pm once the pm has been forwarded. A stern, fitting decision shall be taken by the administration team, depending on the authenticity of the pm.
Note: The reputation comments also fall under this rule. In addition, reputation comments and Points are to remain private and exposing them in threads is Not allowed.
Rule#8:Complains about a moderator/Admin: If a member has a personal complain about a moderator/admin, he or she can inform directly the administration team.This can be done only Via Pm or E mail. The team will then rise an internal committee were by the decision about the complain and the consequences will be as per majority. The Concerned member will be informed about the results via pm/email
Rule#9:Chatting: The sabla doesn’t allow continuous private chat between members. If a member wants to open a chat thread, he or she should get the administration's permission first. Failing to do so, can result in the immediate removal or closure of such thread by the moderators in charge.
P.s. Off topics shall be dealt with in a similar way. Members are asked to stick to the topic and not to deviate away from it. If a new topic arises from the original topic, that member is more than welcomed to open a new thread about it. Failing to do so might cause editing/closure of the thread or post/s within the thread.
Rule#10:Copy Rights: Members should always provide the sources of any copy/paste posts, whether they were taken from a web site, a book, a magazine or else. Give the author his/her credit.
Rule#11:Elaborating after pasting: If a member copies/pastes any article from a web site, a book or any other sources, he or she has to elaborate after that. If failing to do so, such posts can be deleted by the administration or the moderator in charge.
Rule#12:Unsuitable Image or Text: Unethical posts or images, nudity or semi-nudity are not allowed no matter their sources. If a member posts any text or image, which are judged unacceptable, the Administration and moderators have the right to remove them immediately. On the first attempt such member will be notified, but if he/she does it again, a warning will be issued. If persistent, such member will get a ban.
Rule#13:Members Avatars:
The Administration and moderators have the right to ask a member to change his/her avatar if it is judged inappropriate or offensive. Dis respectable political, Religious or personal avatars will be removed immediately.
Rule#14:Advertising: Any type of Advertising on the sabla needs to be approved by the Administration. The Administration and the moderators have the right to remove any post or thread where a member advertises without permission a web site, a private or commercial place, a private event or a person’s name.
Rule#15: Member’s request to delete his/her own thread:A thread initiator has all right to approach the admin/moderator requesting closure of that particular thread, but the ultimate decision to close/not-close/Move the thread rests on the unanimous decision of the administration team, that will review the thread first.
Rule#16: Religion: The Sabla will not tolerate any disrespect towards Islam and any other religions, nor will it allow any insult towards God or his prophets. The Administration and the moderators have the right to edit or remove any disrespectful post. On the first attempt, a member will get a warning, but if persistent, he or she will get a ban.
Rule#17 :Banned Members: A banning period lasts 1 month if temporary. Once the administration issues a second ban to the same member, this time it will be permanent. The Administration has still the right to periodically revise members banned status.
However, if a member is banned and wants to rejoin the English Sabla, he or she should send an apologetic e-mail to the administration, promising not to break the sabla's rules again. Only then, along with the moderators agreement, the administration will consider to deban such member and reactive his/her account at the right moment.
(ADMINISTRATION & MODERATORS)
Rule #18 : Editing & deleting/locking Members posts/threads: All topics (this includes adult related threads) require a mature, decent and clear purpose for their initiation with the proper context to display it. If the ES team finds that the particular content is unacceptable, disturbing, vulgar, inappropriate or against any of the sabla rules, it serves the right to edit/lock it. The member, who initiated the locked thread, will be immediately notified through the thread itself or any other means the moderator in charge finds reasonable.
Notice : If in doubt, it is advised to contact any of the team members before initiating (specially) an adult related topic.
Rule #19: Moving a thread to the administration: The administration and the moderators have the right to move any threads to the Administration, if they find the content sensitive, inappropriate or detrimental to the Sabla.

Notice : We would like to also point out that if a member receives 3 Notices for the same reason , then the sabla's administration team have the right to issue that member an official warning.
