Women in my family wear a considerable amount of jewellery.
I often wonder, if my mother swapped all her right hand ornaments (bangles and various rings) with all her left hand ornaments – would she lose her sense of orientation?

So far, she has responded with an annoyed stare. :)

Personally frish, I don't particularly like jewellery all that much, I do have the odd favourite item or two, but most days my fingers and wrists are jewellery-free.

I also dont like yellow gold, so its either white gold or silver.

Jewellery is not my cup of tea either!
I dont like wearing alot of jewellery unless im dressing up for a party or wedding or something. Most of the time i wear white gold coz its much prettier than yellow gold. Unfortunately im allergic to silve, so i cant wear silver necklaces.
Anyhow, i dont think it looks nice when women wear to much jewellery...after all do they think it proves a point to people???
Personally it just makes people stare and makes them say "DID U SEE THE SIZE OF THAT DIAMOND!" etc...:eyes:

Oh now you got me talking non-stop, but I shall make this short. I love it even if I cant buy them I just have to go look at them, I have this particular shop I have to visit at least one in 2 weeks to check on the new things, then come back home and tell my husband about them. Sometimes I end up buying them, I recall when I was in high school, I had this friend of mine who use to call me the Maharaga’s wife. I used to wear one ring only but keep on changing it everyday, some of them are my mothers, my sisters etc. but I just got to change, and now im stuck with my wedding ring, which I adore :D :D

In general, i dont think its right that a woman should go home to her husband saying "Yella i like that ring over there" and "did u see that diamond necklace in sabco!". Simple but elegant is my style. a Duch lady once told me that was stupid for not wearing all the gold i have and sticking to curtain very light stuff!!! but what could i say,,, that just my style.

Now I would appreciate if it you don’t jump into conclusion talking about my life and the way I am with my man. It’s a matter of taste my dear, everyone has their own taste, some women like to fill up them selves with gold from top to bottom, in on the other hand like it nice and simple, doesn’t mean that I go gold shopping every time I am out, sometimes I enjoy looking at them I really don’t need to buy them, but that’s like something I like to do and I don’t think it’s a problem!

i prefer white gold. it looks so much better. platinum is even better but cost too much loot.

oh and some1 i was talking about real sports. you know like football, basketball etc.

Yeah platinum is way much expensive then white gold, my brother got him self a wedding band “plane” and it cost him 60 R.O

Personaly I don't know why girls like white gold, it doesn't look much diffirent from silver. The yellow gold much better and this why it cold goldy color.

I don't like jewels that much.. although I do believe they do add sth special to the lady wearing them :)

anyway, too much is too bad.. I hate it when some ladies wear alot of jewels.. it's disgusting.. especially the sound..

Sometimes girls look great in jewellery..... as long as it's elegant and not in-your-face . ;)

Personally I don't like it too much. I go for the alternative stuff like toe and thumb rings and anklets......and of course I won't wear gold gold. :duh:

The older more traditional Omanis like the gold (yellow) I remember being a kid in elementary and there were these girls that wore these huge gold earrings, to school! :duh:
But nowdays not many wear...... they're getting hip. :p

I despise the mentality of always having to have a different ring on their finger each day!
And: we spend money on the most unessecary things like GOLD! We should consider that such money would be better of going to charity where it could help all the people who dont even have a roof over their head.
I mean look at all the poor children in africa, they dont even have a drip of water to drink and here we are talking about how JEWELLERY is this and that and how we cant leave the house without a ring for each finger and a different ring every week etc

Well, the thread is about jewelry ,,,,so I figured I would tell of my love for jewelry. I mean, Im sure you have a hobby that you invest some money in too right? My hobby is shopping....but thats not to say that I dont give money to my church...and other charities. Plus, I buy the cheap inexpensive stuff.....as long as it looks real huh....:p

I have hobbies that are "money" free! :p

Yo Girl! we do give money for Sadaqa and alhamolilah, if we have enough money we dont need to go spilling it around everywhere, life is here for you to enjoy it! after all i wont be able to feed everyone in the world even if i had all the money/gold in the world!!

Thats me and i like the way i am.

I would probably put my money towards something useful. Like lets say i had 1 million riyals!
I would give 1/2 to charity...1/4 to my family...and the rest towards my education! :wink:

Well not all women in love with Jewellarys, personally I don't like Jewellarys that much & I HATE Golden Jewells, but I like white gold. Somy u asked what if the girl got married?? I'll say if she wants to wear Jeans no prb to stay with out Jewels that day;) :D .
