There are so many newspapers/books/magazenes issued in every part of the world written by people who come from different backgrounds.. and obviously, each writer would give an opinion that reflects his beliefs (whether political or social or religious, etc)..

I very often wonder: is there such a thing as an "un-biased" newspaper or magazenen or any form of media??

to give an example: most of teh Arab world believe that the Western Media is manipulated by zionist lobbies..so most opinions delievered by their media are rejected and viewed as "biased opinions".. what about our Media? I'm sure something similar will be said about it by Western viewers.. thats because we tend to distrust sources that have opinions which are against our beliefs..

-so, do you believe there is such a thing as an unbiased news agent?

-how do you evaluate your sources??

-finally, what newspapers/magazenes/news channels do you usually follow up with ?

Good set of questions Bim (if I may call you that),

I am an avid reader of the news and always come across articles and writings which in some manner or the other appear to be biased.

When a matter touches a weak corner of the writer's heart in matter of patriotism of any sort, the article/writing that he/she writes tends to be biased or maybe atleast favouring his country in some manner of the other.

Most of the newspapers of many countries are biased as far as that country is involved.

I go through, CNN, BBC, New York Times, news.google.com, Times of India (for Indian news ... since I am Indian) and watch any news site which's running on when I'm watching ;)

Cheers!
