Internal or external ?
Here are some current reviews of internal CD-RW devices.

Hope it helps.
There is some debate as to whether the higher 52X speeds really are better performers than the slower speeds. I personally look for larger Cache buffers, so I'd be looking at the Yamaha CRW-F1 or Plextor PlexWriter 48/24/48A.
Hmmmm.......
Ok i had a similar q?
Nowadays u get a single drive as a
CD ROM
DVD
CD/WR ...etc
Do u think it's better to have all in a single drive or to have them separated??? Especially when it comes to the WR?

Thuggy, you can attach internal CD-writers even to branded computers, there is usually a free bus space for it, and even if their wasn't you can remove your CD-ROM and insert the new one in! ;)

well thanx Blue chi however i think i have now another problemo
My pc is a 97 model of acer (oldy)
however i was told tht I have to increase my ram to 128 (mine now is 64) and all slots full!!!!!!
So I dont know!!!
I am not as well sure if the motherboard can accept a 128!!!
hehe in the end some one told me that I better buy a new Pc!!!!
Like I have the money for that now!! I have much more imp things to do rather than to buy a new Pc!! which nowdays costs MM
250RO!!!!
I will see what can Ido!!!
P.s. so external better or internal cd writer?

Internal is better and cheaper if you have an available external drive bay room for it and a spare IDE connection (remember 4 max).
External is your only option if you don't have the above and you also have a USB connection.
