OK .. Boss .. u r right .. it seems no one was interested to see this play ... wander why??? i think the answer is that most of the members are more interested towards the western culture .. thinking that this is the way to be modern and look coool .. so funny principal walaah ..

well .. it was coool and comedy show .. great actors and actresses
but with no intention they insulted our culture based on the background they got from their guids in the country .. anyway .. huge audiance were there and they responded well which reflects our perminant belonging .. el hamdulelaah we r still arabs

overall it was fine and interesting to see all those actors in oman and they got a distinguishble impression about oman and omanies.. wish they will transmit to their place when going back
and that is what muscat festival all about

Samy intresting ..
but I did not understand how did they insult our culture?? and what was the drama about any way .. what was the story?

Mariner, I dont know .. I actually think we have many talanted actors. I watched a show drama called "shahid ayyan" "a witness" and it was about road traffic accidents. It was a mix of comedy and tragedy .. I loved it!!! it made me tear!!!

Well the word insult maybe was not appropriate .. what i meant to say that they tried to be friendlier in a way that they miss-used the terms . eg. Mentioning quryate as a tourist place for poor people I.E. who can not afford to go somewhere a broad

Second thing.. some (raw) places in the country e.g. old jabrooh
as u know there is no jabrooh anymore .. so why to rise this name a gain as a simple of disorder behaviour, in a way or another it was not their fault .. they want to show their familiarity to omanies as all drama providers trying to do .. but they got miss-leading information from some one who is not efficient to give so ..
anyway .. the story was a bout manipulating the governmental laws to reach a personal aims and how to use poor people needs
to reach over there shoulders to a higher state and so on .. it was nice and funny .. as it was lead by a great actor who by himself is a history in the field .. Hussain Abdul redhaa .... wish more sablah members had attended ...:)
about the omanie drama .. i think both of u is right ( A.P. and Mariner ) .. sometimes we see more talented actors showing a good effort drama .. like the example u mention A.P. i watched that drama play too ... though a lot of criticism view were there but still it remain a well appreciated individual efforts and that where the problem lies.
hope the best for our guys inshaa alaah ...
